Just a tip, when doing dumpster diving, take trash from your household and put it in their inventory. So when the dumpster is empty, refill it with the trash from the Sims inventory. Then go diving again.

Whenever my Sims are sad about a death I just make them stand in the mirror and talk about their feelings a bunch and after a good two full queues of that their sad buff is gone. Very helpful especially during the 100 baby challenge when the kids get sad over family members that they never even met before

When I get the notification that an elderly sim is close to dying I get their affairs in order by spending all their inspiration points on moodlet solver drinks to store in the family keepsake box so the family doesn't have to grieve too long.

@@Siren_DarkOcean_Official Oh, I guess I'm not positive if it is a proper mountain top. The area is Cordelia's secret cottage at Henford-on-Bagley. It does look like a mountain or hilltop and is one of the highest places I know of that one can live residentially in the Sims 4 Cottage Living. I cleared the land and house so that the child was there with basically nothing.

For the Monster under the bed problem just buy the koala protector lamp and place it inside of the room with the bed you want to stop from spawning the monster.

I just disable the monster under the bed with MCC Same with Emotional Deaths bc hold crap it gets annoying Like every time my child sim slept they'd wake up not even a second later due to the monster and it would wake all the other kids up too and they'd never sleep after befriending it Plus the anxiety I got from the emotion death risk I had to when I saw the option I get so much less stress now

Zulf has a mod that allows kids to do more things like clean counters, repair objects, use the washtub and other things. You can even bathe toddlers. I had to delete my mods that allowed kids to care for toddlers though once infants came out. It ruined pathing for adult sims trying to pick up infants, lol, even though it was an interaction for kids and toddlers.

Can you raise a sim from Newborn to YA, with the goal of giving them the most trauma? You would do this by getting the worst age up traits for infant and toddler, bad in school, distant family dynamic and all the bad character values, maybe even fears too.

The grandmeal can be purchased at one of the universities. The university students are also very willing to teach the child to ride a bike and will help with projects. The universities are the best place to eat dinner and do homework for a child alone.

Another way to have child sims live on their own is if you play on pc, click on shift and on the adult sims you want to get rid of and their should be a pie menu option named "debug" and from there it's two options "go to rabbit hole" which still allows adult sims to be apart of the household but they'll be gone (you can cancel the action to bring them back) or "remove from family" which completely removes the sim from the household and doesn't send the child to be adopted. I once tried this: no mods, I decided to live in Sulani so there were lots of free food from the neghbours (if you only eat quick meals the kid will feel ill) and moved out the adult (they were not related) but I never got around the problem of paying the bills, so from time to time I had to add a random adult to the household for the sole purpose of paying the bills. It's annoying since she could actually made money from stuff she collected, so it's not as if the houshold didn't have the founds.

So I did this on accident in sims 3 years ago. My kid went to school and was fine. In high school, she was popular, voted prom queen, kissed a girl and got a girlfriend. It was honestly insane. My adult sim died 2 game days in from a fire at her party (where 2 other sims died. Was pure chaos)

I was playing a child alone and I don't have mods. I think I created her with an elderly grandmother and then moved the grandmother out in manage households. Gran went to a nursing home. I had the kid scavenge on the beach and sell stuff on that table that lets you sell items.

i tried this once, i dont use mods, but if you start a house with a child and an adult and use shift click on the adult to remove it from family you can play alone with the child, but i couldnt turn off the bills for some reason. so i got super annoyed at constantly going without power/water and having things reposessed.

The bills are the hardest issue for me. If I am careful, I have no bills at all. I use the smallest microhouse possible and make sure the lot is set to tiny house. I set the lot traits to geothermal and natural springs and gnomes. And I make it offgrid. If I keep my inventory and cash low and do all the rest of that, I have no bills.

I have begun immediately releasing the dead sims’ spirit to the netherworld to prevent them coming onto the lot and breaking everything. If they die of old age then usually they don’t mess with stuff.

Another way you could do this without mods is to create a vampire sim as the adult and just have them hibernate in a coffin the whole time you’re playing. I found that was the easiest way for me when I did this challenge because it meant I could just wake them up when the bills needed to be paid and then keep them hibernating in the basement when I didn’t want them to interfere.

The Harvestfest is actually a great way to get rich. When you appraise the gnomes they give seed packets worth 100$, if you buy additional gnomes before the event starts they can also be appraised 😅 the cheapest gnome is 18$ and yes I know too much about it.... 😅I once earned 30.000 doing that....

All around Oasis Spring's park are gems and toads. When things are tight I'm sure we would never judge any who might have, at some point made a habit of waking the wee ones up to do a circuit around the park in the middle of the night on a school night. Another way you can get a single child household is by playing as a different household, finding the household with the child, and then pressing SHIFT and selecting "Add To Family", consequently leaving the child on their own.

In short, you’re sim must live off the grid in a tent with the simple living challenge selected in the lot traits. Your sim must either live off what they have grown or sell what they can to buy food from the pub or the stalls. If you want to make that bit more challenging, make them an orphan teenager who has a washing basket as well as tent. It’s very addicting 😁

To get rid of the monster under the bed, theres a nightlight you can put on the wall by her bed. She will wake up everytime with a happy moodlet saying she feels protected by the nightlight
