How did you get the little plastic plate off to get the assembly to slide out? I'm worried about prying it out and breaking the plastic.

@@irmab9910 I had to get a little more water in there, because there was ice built up around the back end of the plate. I used a little spray bottle. Once it wasn't iced in, then the plate popped off pretty easily with a tiny screwdriver in the little slot. Then I spent a good amount of time de-icing the whole fixture - let it sit out all day to melt any ice in little crevices and let it all dry out.

For this particular model you can seal the top where the icemaker fill tube comes in at with permagum/ hvac playdoh to keep air from getting in. If it's freezing at the fill tube.

So what! How about showing how you removed ice maker and fixed it. How did you diagnosed the problem?

Maybe the fix is the heater element by the motor is not working. The heater element melts the ice enough to drop on the rack and slide onto the ice bin thus leaving the ice tray to form new ice cube and rinse and repeat
