I agree! I’ve pressed both sides of the quick connect with my fingers, or one side with a screwdriver, and it’s a bear. This is the pro way to do it, and makes it super easy!

So water dispenses but my icemaker is not producing ice.. I've got the valve.. going to swap it out.. how long did it take for yours to start producing ice? and when you replaced it, did you hear water running to icemaker?? or how did you know it was fixed? thanks

@@jimmyjames8791 after installing the valve it probably took 15 minutes for me to hear the valve filling the icemaker. It took about 6 hours to get the first cubes which were a little deformed ( I think air in the line). After 24 hours the cubes were normal. Good luck I hope it works. Make sure the water lines are all the way in into valve. If not they will leak and you will see water at the bottom of the refrigerator.

Replaced mine and all good EXCEPT my water in the door drips for about 30 seconds after the water is shutoff. Any ideas on how to fix this????

You might want to warn folkes to test the assembled appliance with the covers off so that they can take a moment to observe potential leaks. Those plastic hoses tend to leak if you do not push them in all the way. It may save someone a lot of trouble.

Since I was curious and more than one person asked. By deductive reasoning - the solid white (bottom) line is the water - the translucent line is for the ice maker On my fridge I can see similar colored lines on top toward the rear behind a small access panel for the ice maker, and under the hinge cover in the front leading to the water dispenser.

I replaced the water valve with a new one, but now the dispenser leaks (it drains all the water that is left in the hose and drips after). Any idea what is happening? Edit: realized air was getting into the line. So i removed and reinserted the water line into the valve to ensure it was in. Works fine.

I suggest ..take a black marker ..make a small mark on the water tubes before you pull them out ..that way you know when the tubes are in far enough into the new valve Assy...also how to test if old valves are faulty ..would be helpful...jus sayin..

The video was easy to follow, thanks. After replacing the part, I get an initial surge of good water flow but it slows quickly back to an anemic flow. I replaced the filter and still have low flow. Faulty part? Any one have suggestions?

I exchanged the part thinking that maybe it was damaged in shipping. The new part didn't help either. I have confirmed good water pressure at all points up to the inlet valve.

Woke up this morning with water under the refrigerator. Water filled the entire bottom surface beneath the middle drawer and overflowed. Water was dripping from the inlet valve. Refrigerator isn't even a year old.

I had a heck of a time removing the 3 tubings. The top gray one got damaged and now leaks badly. Where can I get a new piece of tubing...it goes up to the filter. Thanks

I added this new solenoid in the upper fridge for the ice maker water but for some reason the refrigerator is not telling the water to come into the ice maker would that be the circuit board

NO. in most cases, the ice maker has a switch that tells the water valve to open to fill the ice maker, and then shut off within seconds to over fill. Hope this helps.

My Matag Refrigerator uses the Dual Valve 67006531 WP67006531 . I have an ice cycle toward the front of the tray and a clump of ice ever day. Ice cubes are normal size as usual. Nothing has changed, level fridge. Same temperature settings. Water in fridge up top is fine. No drip Started all of a sudden on my 3 year old fridge. I see no adjustments behind cover on ice maker like old ones. I got a new water valve. No problem installing it with your video. However, it's still doing it. Did I just get unlucky and get a bad replacement. Thanks for the help.

I have a different valve assembly, but the way the hoses are connected are the same. But the way you disconnected the houses with a 3/8" wrench does not help me at all. I still cannot get the hoses out of the valve... How do you disconnect the hoses?

I hope you fixed your valve body by now. If not, I have found that sometimes you really gotta tug at it. They're just stuck over time.

I installed the new valve, tested it and saw no leaks, but later found that there is air getting in somewhere, allowing the water in the tube to leak down and run down the door. Any suggestion about how to fix it are welcome.

Seems like the icemaker valve would have to be leaking for ice to build up in the little funnel part. Mine had the ice buildup so I cleared it out and also replaced the dual valve inside under the water filter.

Water fill line was dripping in my icemaker, I suspect it was the icemaker water inlet valve not being able to completely shut off. It would take a couple weeks, but the water was dripping down inside the back wall of the freezer, freeze up, then break off into a piece that would get in the air circulation fan lower down behind a shield in the freezer and make a loud grinding noise. I replaced the valve set and also the icemaker since it was pretty cheap and I had it all apart. Works fine ever since then.@@alexdesjarlais5253

Question here. I have no ice in my ice maker, the ice maker wont fill with water, and my water in the door is barely putting a stream out. What would normally take 10 seconds to fill a cup of water is about 1-2 mintues. Woukd this be a problem with the dual intake valve? I have just fine water pressure going into the fridge.

@yousefelwawy68 it did not fix it. What i figured out that it was the main inlet valve on the back of the fridge is what needed to be replaced. Although it only fixed the water pressure to my water line on the door dispenser and yet i still do not have flow to my ice maker. My ice maker still runs, but does not fill with water and that was only after replacing the back valve. After changing the interior dual valve, nothing changed with my problems.

Great video. So I need to prolly replace this but it's seems like my controls on dispensing board are not responding . Is it the touch wiring or the actually circuit board that needs replaced? Same model . Sometimes it will respond and other times it will not? Ideas ?

Hello. I have a Whirlpool wrv976fdem00 and the problem I have is when I use the water dispenser water fills up in the ice maker. I thought it might be the dual inlet valve so I changed it twice but it did the same thing so I disconnected the icemaker line from the inlet valve and pressed the water dispenser button and water came from the valve. I believe this is causing the icemaker to overfill and leak but I don't know what to do to correct it. Please help!

Replace the filter and the water valve in the whirlpool refrigerator, and it does not make ice, it pours water in the server, but does not raise water to make ice, the machine that releases the ice works but the water does not rise ... I do now Please guide me

This is redicoulous! They make it easy to removed the hose tubing in valve inlet using wrench? come on!! I bet it it already loose when you take it out the tubing from the valve that you make it look like easy for viewers to do it. Once it lock in inside you have no choice but to cut it out .

I used a 1/4" wrench for the water line and a 3/8" wrench for the ice supply line. Wasn't hard at all.
