Fettercairn Distillery Visit

Thanks for another great video, Ben. Your vids of distillery visits are always fascinating as you go through each step in the production in detail and the distilleries grant you full access to the works. Looks like it was pretty cold in that dunnage warehouse - possibly too cold for those two very delicate older drams they lined up for you to try. Still, the atmosphere in the warehouse somehow belongs to the magic of a tasting experience - along with breathing in the Angels' share! Fettercairn will definitely need to fill that gap between the 12 and the 28 year olds if they want to promote sales. I thought they might have waited until the range was complete before launching it onto the market, but they probably have their own reasons for doing it in stages. Had the great pleasure of a bottle of the '10 year 'Old' Fettercairn' given to me quite a few years ago, when a friend brought me it back after working in the Fettercairn area. Absolutely fantastic it was. Like drinking milk it was that smooth.

This is a really nice review. A piece of history, an encounter with the distillery and a few notebooks. I just bought warehouse 2, batch 004. The brand lacks a bit of importance, despite the interesting, tragic story and the original cooling ring.

Great tour Ben. What a wonderfully interesting life you lead. Ouusshh £3000 for the 40 Yr old. Yikes.
