If so and a connection can be proven then I think whistlin ought to leverage that vast vault of KZbin cash to sue the living socks off the entire system top to bottom. Hey man - this is old news now but thanks for bringing this to light. When I was a freshman in college I got a class A for "racing" even though the cop clocked me doing 45 in a 45. I got arrested, spent thousands, and a few years on probation for it. Got railroaded through court with no idea what was happening, and I couldn't afford a lawyer that would give me the time of day. Come to find out they didn't even charge me correctly (what they actually charged me with had nothing to do with racing, and was something related to horse racing/gambling?) - so I managed to get it expunged from my record 10 years later. Never got the time, money, or lost jobs back though. I generally agree with the legal system and and sympathize with law enforcement - but when it goes bad, it goes bad. Thanks for bringing this kind of abuse of power to light!

It's because it's not. That's a corrupt DA that's trying to pressure the prime suspects into leaning one way or another on stuff like that. It's like corrupt lawyers who tell you it's in your best interest to plea guilty even for lesser charges because it's not worth the risk even if you're innocent. That's corrupt too. It's actually in an innocent persons best interest to plea innocent even if their lawyer hates them for not making his job easy and you also get more court ect. At least in the end if you're really innocent you'll hopefully survive. If you plea guilty for lesser charges for something you didn't do then you get charges for something you didn't do and you're guilty and everyone will say you're guilty, when you're not. Also if that happens I'd tell the judge you've lost confidence in your lawyer for trying to lead you to be guilty rather than trying to help you defend your innocence and they'll push the trial back and give you time to find a new lawyer and they can catch up and figure out the situation. At least hopefully. In a corrupted justice system you're also likely to just be treated like you're Satan for the most minor of offenses no matter how innocent you truely are. And thus jurisdictions law enforcement already appears to be leaning that way. So if the case doesn't go the right way because the court is corrupt then he can appeal the case up and up. Hopefully he's in a jurisdiction where he won't just end up with some triggered loser who's mad he had fun on a jetski that'll throw him in prison forever for not helping those cops sweep their fishy behavior under the rug by complying for boater saftey. If his crimes were so bad they have to threaten long term drug tests, a spy to watch him constantly, wrapping up all this money, they definitely wouldn't be willing to throw it all away if Cody promotes boater safety for them. Screw them, they probably have dirty deeds in all the boater safety courses too, why else would they promote it so hard? They're obviously pushing it pretty hard and they seem to persecute more than Cody for splashing water as it appears they're so well rehearsed with this whole bad cop good cop "we'll drop everything if you do boater saftey promotion but if not you're screwed" interrogation. If the cops had any sense they'd have just dropped all charges and walked away with their tail between their legs. They stopped looking for robbery to go deal with a mad sheriff on his day off because Cody didn't let his bullying go unnoticed. Clearly a bunch of crooked cops. Theyve got all this BS tying up the court system because Cody was behaving on a jet ski how 99% of people probably would. Splashing water, going around, having fun, ect. Who goes to the water and doesn't splash? Guess it's time to ban squirt guns because oh boy one time kid took in in the eye right?! 😂 What a joke. The lawyers are supposed to be proving people guilty or innocent, not interrogating them in dark rooms about how if they plead guilty and promote boaster saftey "it'll all go away" smells super fishy to me. Are the cops going to make people sign up to squirt gun safety courses and get permits to have fun?!

The big issue here is the fact the citations were issued as a retaliation to the conflict with that other deputy. That should be in the light the most. Did the other officers truly witness the "splashing" ? Because if they get on the stand an testify that they did and you can prove they didn't, that puts them under a "giglio" status and they will never be able to swear to testimony again. I doubt the officers saw it; the bystander (sounds like he was off duty - but his word will hold weight since he is an officer in the eyes of a court) they will have to get the bystander (off duty cop) to make a statement saying he saw them do X. In that case; (as judges normally accept the word of an officer - regardless if they are off duty). In which case WD will get a charge dand found guilty. Therefore; WD should of counter offered to drop charges against the college student and that he will do the boat course to get the remaining charges dropped against himself. Guess WD or his stupid lawyer doesn't understand when they try to make a deal and an offer you CAN COUNTER OFFER. Whoever WD's lawyer is a FUCKTARD for not doing that. I just feel bad for his friend losing his college free ride because WD/lawyer was stupid - he should offer to pay for his college if he loses it. Also; still a decent chance the pro drops the charges as it isn't really worth it to them for bad press over very minor charges. Shocked they didn't drop it after finding out who he is unless that off duty cop pulled some strings which I'm betting he is.

Same thing happened to me and my fiancé we were driving to the store to get munchies at 1am. She was going 10 over the speed limit the cop pulled us over. Said she was doing 30 over then said she failed to use her right turn signal. Then wrote her a ticket before he gave it to her he said he cut her a break. The second he handed to her I looked at it and said what brake are you talking about. This ticket is going to possibly have her license revoked. He said he didn’t write down that 1 of the license plate lights were out. I was like REALLY how about this put the light being out on the ticket and remove the other in fractions. He said he couldn’t the ticket was already wrote. I was speechless and extremely angry so we decided to get a lawyer. Ended up having the ticket dropped but what really pissed me off is the judge said my fiancé was getting the deal of the century. I was like WHAT the cop lied multiple times and because I was smart enough to get her a lawyer to fight it. She was getting the deal of the century but yeah the pigs always say they are giving you a break. How is basically writing a ticket that’s going to revoke your license till your 27 cutting you a break. I say 27 because if we would not have fought that ticket no insurance company would have covered her at a reasonable rate till she was 27. I believe the cop was mad because we were not drunk or high. We were honestly wanted some sweets nothing more. But that’s what these cops have become in my opinion they are cosplayers. They want to dress up and play a bad ass but when real shit happens they are nowhere to be found. I have to add if her license being revoked till 27 would have happened. That would have definitely caused MAJOR issues for the rest of her life. All because of doing 10 over on a Saturday night going to get sweets. I am sure this kinda of crap happens to other people. But those people may not know to get a lawyer or don’t have the money for one. So in my opinion what happens is cops lie really cause major damage to peoples life. Then wonder why dose the general public HATE us. Well let me aim to sum it up because you lie and ruin honest peoples lives.

In the state of Connecticut they don't use electronics to tell truckers to enter scales. I was new at the time and didn't know, my license clearly showed I was new to it. And still the officer didn't budge even though no other states on my side of the country operate like that, only a few states do this. Anyway we went to court, and I showed proof of my "EZ Pass" pinging off the electronics they had up. It gave me a green. Instead of admitting they were wrong they offered me a deal. instead of paying 200 bucks on my ticket and having it show on my record, I could instead "Donate" to their court house and have the ticket magically disappear. At the time I knew this was wrong, and I was in the right. But I didn't have the means to fight back. Especially for truckers. Small stuff on your record can ruin your business so I let it go. I probably just don't have the details to be asking this, but if she was on private property with the owner's permission, the only way she could be charged for trespassing is if the property owner pressed charges. So, whatever crime she was convicted of, I don't see how it was trespassing? Did they add some other charge, or claim it was public land? If the building was officially condemned, I suppose it's possible that was a factor. However it happened, assuming it's as you say, I'm very sorry for your friend.
