This crap nearly ruined the movie for me! The director/producer couldn't pay a car guy with any common sense to come advise on the car scenes? No Challenger ever had a 4.9L V8. You had so many legendary MOPAR powerplants to choose from! He coulda said anything from 340 Six Pack, 383 Commando, 440 Magnum, 426 Hemi. All would have been perfectly acceptable and absolutely believable, but no, they had to pull some 4.9L garbage out of their butts. Or, are we supposed to believe that the owner of this Challenger decided to not put any variant of a performance Mopar motor in his Challenger, and instead decided to swap it out for a ship anchor Chrysler A Block from 1955 that didn't have enough power to pull my pants down? And BTW, the 72 Challenger could only be had with the 3.7 liter slant six, the 5.2 liter 318 V8, and the 5.6L 340 V8. Any half wit car guy could have told you that and kept this scene from being ruined. "Saying that car has a 4.9L V8 while trying to sound tough is about like someone getting in a f22 raptor and bragging that it can go 55MPH. Just stupid!
