After seeing the prices on chains, I think the 6600 is getting new ones for next season. So yes, I am going to try this at home. Thanks Ross!

Heh you don't give yourself enough credit Ross, I think it's pretty entertaining listening to you talk about things. As a man with MPF I know too the pains of working on a narrow planter. Great video.

Yes, I am sometimes like you, but with your new leaf turning over, maybe a lot like you!😄You see, with you finding that master link being half way out you are luckier than you know!🙃I think your demeanor, let's call it lightheartedness, is great, sometimes a feller needs that for all the, "sadness", going on. Thanks for all the fun, good luck on the rest of your ventures. Have a good one!👍

You got lucky on a couple of those chains. Part of a pass and they would have been history. On our old White 543, keeping drive chains on was a major effort to say the least. New chains would cause more problems than partially stiff, dirty ones.

I'm gonna have a "chain-o-rama" this winter with both my 5100. I ordered all new chains from Shoup, and just the other day (after texting you) found the plastic idler sprockets and bushings from Ag Parts First. I had forgotten, but the last time I ordered a couple of those plastic sprockets, I ordered them from them. It surprises me that Shoup does not have the originals, only the newer ones that are just a plastic channel.

Hi Ross, I'm with the other guys I like to listen to you talk, just wondering if the slack is off the chains when it's up in the air should it be stored that way so they don't stretch out prematurely.

Definitely a good deal to change them. You were so close to sadness on one of those. Your comedic talking makes any of your videos good, 😂😂. You could be a stand-up comedian. 😂😂. Dad always said "work on Sunday and fix it on Monday " and it was so true. Thanks for sharing and I'll see you later.

I learned to use a magnetic bowl or tray when working on things like that, can use the magnet on the bowl to sweep the grass/ground to pick up the lost part. Has saved my bacon a few times.

Clean and oil a few of the best chains you removed to store in the shed. You know you'll need one handy when the planter goes down with a broken chain just because you replaced them all.

FYI $16,000 in 1990 (I’m guessing roughly when you were a kid) is equivalent to more than $38,000 today. Image having to pay $38k for this planter technology today.🤨

Ross, you said that Sunday was the day of rest, the Sabbath day. But the Bible says that this is incorrect. See in the Bible in the book of Gen.2:2-3 The Lord rested on the seventh day. And then in the book of Ex.20:8-11 The Lord commanded to keep the Sabbath day and keep it Holy, for the seventh day was the only day the lord hollowed. See Lev.19:3; Lev.26:2; and then in the book of Matthew 12:8-9 Jesus said, For the son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day. Notice Jesus does not mention anything about Sunday the first day of the week here. It says the same thing in the book of Luke 6:5-6; See Mark 2:23-28; Luke 4:16 Jesus went to the synagogue on the Sabbath days, as it was his custom. See Luke 23:54-56 They kept the Sabbath day before they went to the tomb were Jesus was buried on Sunday the first day of the week. See Mark 16:1-2; and Acts 13:41-44 Even the Gentiles kept the Sabbath day in this passage. Now See, Eze.20:13,16; Eze.23:30 in these Passages, it talks about polluting the Sabbaths. And in Mat.12:5 Jesus said that the priest profane the Sabbath. So Jesus said that he was the Lord of the Sabbath day, ( The Sabbath day goes from sun down on Friday to sun down on Saturday. See Gen.1:1-2:3. It says that each day starts, evening and morning, first through the seventh day. And then according to church history, it was Constantine who had changed the Sabbath day in ( 321AD), and then the catholic church changed the Sabbath day ( 630AD) and then they had the Sunday law passed in the 1800s and then again in the 1920s, and again in 1967, and then again in 2015 when Obama signed it into law. PS. I am not a seventh day Adventist. So just for your information, Constantine was a sun god deity worshiper, so now maybe you can figure out which one of Constantine's sun gods people are worshiping on Sunday the first day of the week. Now before you get upset at me, find a video of the Pope in the Vatican, and setting on the throne, just look over his head, you can see that sun god figurine setting on the mantel in the video. And then according to church history, the rosary beads of the catholic church, and the knotted rope of the Orthodox church comes from the Buddhist religion. And in the book of Luke chapter's 1-4 Marry the mother of Jesus Christ was only chosen by the lord to give birth to the Lord's one and only son, Yeshua = Jesus Christ, who BTW was a Hebrew/Israelite = Nazarene. See Mat.1:1-2:23; Gen.10:21-32; Gen.11:10-32; Abram the hebrew. Gen.14:13; and the Lord changed Abrams name from Abram to Abraham. Gen.17:5 And this is the chapter that the Lord promised the land of Israel to Abram/Abraham and Isaac and Jacob/Israel through Moses to the Jewish people, the twelve tribes of Israel. Gen.49, and Exodus chapter's 1-11 Aaron and Miriam and Moses and the twelve tribes of Israel. See Mat.1:1 The book of generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. See 1Sam.16:12 David was ruddy in body. See the word ruddy in the strong's concordance, it means, red hair, or red whitish complection. See Lam.4:7 Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire. See Dan.7:9; Rev.1:14 His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. You can confirm this by looking up the letter that Pilate wrote about what Jesus looked like. And since we are on what the Bible says, let's look in scripture in 1Cor.5:11; 1Cor.6;9-10; drunkards, and then drunkenness, Gal.5:19-21. The Bible doesn't say that we cannot drink alcohol. But what it says is that we cannot become a drunkards. In the Strong's concordance it says that a drunkard is someone who gets just the least little bit tipsy. And it says that drunkards and drunkenness have no part in the kingdom of heaven. But there is grace and mercy, only if we confess our sins and repent, and turn back to following the lord. See 2Chr.7:14; Dan.9:4-19. And Jonah chapters 1-4.
