My Mom and I had a difficult relationship, but I know that she did her best and I did mine. She's gone now. I had a closer relationship with my father (who was divorced from my Mom). Amy, I just made this with a couple of changes d/t gluten and peanut allergies- All I did was omit peanuts ( ok, that hurt) and substitute fg pretzels. None of those that didn't know better had a clue! Great recipe that I can make for everyone, including my gf, nut allergy granddaughter!

@@amyslouisianakitchen I got it made! You said, "you can make it your own" I used Rice Chex, Corn Flakes, Cheerios, pretzels and the Easter M&M's. . . . . I made your recipe at Christmas. My friend liked it so much she requested that I make more. So that's what I did! . . . Thank you for all of your recipes. Because of you I made myself some Shrimp and Cheesy Grits for lunch! Not the same as yours. My was just thrown together using instant grits and the pre-cooked shrimp. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself!

FYI-the difference in your bark and chips is the white chocolate chips uses cocoa butter for the fat and the bark uses vegetable or palm oil. The bark sets up with a slightly creamy bite, whereas your chips set up with more of a snap. Mixing the two is genius. Can't wait to make some. Think I will try it using popcorn as well. Everything the same except popcorn for the cereals. Yummy.

Well, here I am again! This time I'm making for a baby shower! My sister in laws niece will be having a baby girl in January. So I found some pink M&M's at Party City and voila! That looks so yummy I love pretzel’s I’m going to make this but use dark chocolate as my kids aren’t white chocolate fans and here where I live we don’t have Chex cereal so I will use Cheerio’s and Shreddies and then the rest of the ingredients. So I made this recipe yesterday just to try it and soooo delicious I did use the coconut oil as well how long will it keep if I place it in an airtight container? actually it made about for large containers

It should keep no problem for a month. Maybe longer but it never stays around any longer than that before it is all gone😅
