@skylerity Any concerns about using seat covers based on the following warnings in the Tesla Cybertruck manual? -> Do not use seat covers on the front seats. Doing so could reduce the accuracy of the occupant detection system. -> Warning! Do not use seat covers on a seat equipped with a seat-mounted airbag (see Location of Airbags). Doing so could restrict deployment of the seat-mounted side airbags if a collision occurs. Also, if the vehicle is equipped with an occupant detection system that is used to determine the status of the passenger front airbag, seat covers may interfere with this system.

@@RodMacQuarrie for me so far, these seat covers haven’t interfered with the occupant detection. You can tell because it would give seatbelt warnings - I get it all the time from my kids pushing on the center back seat when we’re driving before the covers were installed 🤣 As for the airbags, there are slots in the side of the seat covers that seem to be intended for airbag deployment, and the seat covers are labeled with side airbag deployment tags. That being said, who knows how it may affect deployment despite the airbag slot being present. They likely have not been crash tested. Anyone using these seat covers should use them at their own risk and discretion. Edit: This is a 3rd party cosmetic item that is not recommended by Tesla, or me. I am just showing them and letting people see them for themselves. For safety reasons, I do not recommend buying them.

@@skylerity Occupant detection isn't just someone sitting in the seat. Tesla uses positioning and weight distribution to deploy the airbags. It's not the same as how other manufacturers do it.

Have the wrinkles around the head rests smoothed out? Also, there was a glimpse of the driver side seat bottom that was maybe partially installed but I'm trying to get a sense of the fit. The back seat middle head rest looks wonky for example.

Hello, the wrinkles have not fully worked out yet but I can tell they are settling better today than yesterday, so, decent progress. Only had them in a bit over 24 hours at this point so I expect it will take some time. Also on the driver and passenger side in the video I had not properly tucked those pieces in yet, but have since done so. Feel free to DM me on X if you want and I can send you some better pictures.

They do look fantastic in your Cybertruck! These seat covers are extremely inexpensive for genuine cow hide. I’ve seen the term Nappa Leather used to also describe synthetic leather. It can be extremely confusing and the vendors don’t make it any easier. On KZbin I am constantly seeing people say “leather” for just about any surface, from door panels to dashboards and any wrapped surfaces in the interior.

Yes, anything spilled will drain into those perforations.

@@brettsiciliano2037 I’ve only had them installed for ~2 days now. The wrinkles seem to be working out but it will take more time to see how well.

The seats are looking good, but I have the space gray interior, do they have seats in gray too? I got the combination locking safe for the center console, the silicone cup holder insert, and the between the front seats tall console organizer from EV Base using your code (actually technically my wife bought those things for me for our wedding anniversary which is today) . The accessory I want to see someone develop the most for Cybertruck is a winch bumper with a hitch receiver. I have such a winch bumper for my Sprinter Van, and it lets me put a bike carrier in front of the van, or a snow plow, or a step to access the engine bay or front window easier. ... kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3XdYWuvYp15bNU

EVBASE responded to me and said they’re working on a tactical grey which they expect to be ready in about a month. 📐🩶

@@skylerity "Tactical Gray" is correct I said space gray, I think I got Tesla colors confused with Apple colors, which is strange because I made the switch to Android more than a decade ago.
