The guy was/is awesome. More important is he did not spend his money on drugs. Instead he saved and when it was time to end, we walked away with that money. The Seattle bands changed the landscape in early 90s and Vito had the brains and money to know that his time was over. Good for him. It's a shame the lead singer tramp wasn't as fiscally responsible.

So. I had an older sister. She passed in 92' at the age of 18. This was one of her favorite songs growing up. So many memories. Her 49th birthday was on February 10th 2023. It came and went, and all I could remember was this song for some fucking reason. Since her death. I haven't thought about it since we were teens/pre teens. Yet I shared it out of the blue with my 19 y/o son today and he said "It sounds so familiar. I've never heard it before but it is so familiar ". I rarely share songs from those times with him. Yet he seeks them out. Name all the majors and he knows them. Word for word. Note for note, lyrics and all. I'm not sure where I'm going with this. All I know is he would have loved to know his aunt who died when I was younger than him just based on the music we grew up with. "Dad. I wish I grew up then to experience the music". I literally felt the same way about my parents music of the 60's and said so.

When my son was born, I would sit in an office chair, lean back and play songs from Texas Flood (SRV) to get him to sleep. When he was 10, he would go into my computer and raid my music. His friends thought he was crazy for listening to, SRV, LIGHTNING HOPKINS, RUSH, WHITE LION , NIRVANA, ZEPPELIN. He recently saw Eric Johnson in a music store in San Antonio, then went out to see him that night. He loves that music as much or more than I do. When Jeff Beck died he started learning Beck's songs on guitar. He always thanks me for the music I introduced him to.

Imagine Cando, North Dakota around 1989. I’m in my early 20s and somebody way up there had put this in a jukebox. I believe Lady of the Valley was the flipside. My partner in garage door repair and I would once a month spend a week tour up north from our big city of Grand Forks North Dakota. Fix farmers garage doors. One night we were in a bar in Cando, this was back when we were all friends and companions in this country of ours. No matter what party. We crank this and everybody from the big city( us) To a bunch of the farm boys from around we’re singing at the top of our lungs and having the time of our lives. Those days will never happen again. This Epic Song Reminds of a Lady I met in College. It took Me 6 Months to ask Her out. So finally on the last day of School, I finally did. We had Lunch and I gave Her one of My Photos. I was so nervous I forgot to ask her for her contact information. As I was driving Home, this dawned on Me. So, I turned around and went back to the Library on Campus where She worked. The Librarian said She was gone for the Semester, and They could not give Me Her information. It was a sad drive Home. I thought I had lost Her for good! Two weeks later as I was signing up for Summer Classes, She showed up! I told Her I was sorry I did not even know Her Last name, and I felt bad because I did not get her contact information. 30 Years later We are Happily Married! Still love this Song!!

I have listened to Mike Trump's and White Lion's experience in the music business . Definitely sounds like this AMAZING BAND was robbed of an even bigger career! White Lion fan base (and growing) knows their value that speaks volumes through every album and KZbin video! The White Lion pride lives and rocks on! 🤘🦁🦁🦁🦁🤘

The good thing is bands like Mr Big and Extreme are around today and releasing new music. Extreme might have the best song of '23 from 80's era bands. You should check them out and find Stryper, LA Guns, LA Guns and more that are still making new music

That comment by Mike was uncalled for. Why don't you jus keep your mouth shut if ya can't say something nice? It's just the dudes opinion, does that make him a 🤡? Who's the clown, stop throwing stones at folks no one needs to read that negative shit in such a fucked up world.

This band was seriously underrated. So many awesome songs, amazing guitar player and Mike Tramp was a great front man and still is. We just were so spoiled in the 80’s with all the different types of music and bands that came out.

Yes, yes, yes... the guitar solo in the middle is sick, but for me, it's the acoustic guitar outro. DAMN! It gives me chills every time I hear it and has since the 80's.

52,000 views in a week of posting this on KZbin. People still have great taste in music. White Lion still rocks. That classic lineup-Mike, Vito, James and Greg, absolutely killed it. What I would give to see them in concert. I still hold out hope for a reunion. It’s all up to Vito, really. If he can play again, and wants to do it. Vito Bratta is such a huge influence on me as a guitarist. The man is a giant.

This might be random but am I the only that gets fall and winter vibes with White Lions songs? They always give of this super cool feeling, of being alone, cold as if I’m skiing through a slope. Idk if it’s just me anyone else?

@@metalrockstarizer89 I agree. Definitely find myself rocking out to them more in the colder months for some reason! Great song.

@@metalrockstarizer89 No, you're not the only one. Autumn of '88 I was really into White Lion, these songs take me right back there. White Lion had opened for Stryper in Knoxville in late October '88 so I got tickets to see Stryper in Charlotte in November hoping to see White Lion too, sadly Hurricane was the opener, one of the biggest disappointments for me concert-wise. Never got to see them live......

Wow. I lived through the 80s but gotta be honest, this song was never on my radar. Can't believe I missed this one back in the day. I was probably too into VH and Crue. What an infectious melody, driving feel, absolutely killer guitar solo and the heartbreaking tragic story of Christie. What an incredible time capsule.
