Seriously those armies are insane. I saw your short on KZbin previewing the daemons and they already became my favorite daemon army. But seeing them now as a whole its even so much more impressive. I wished GW daemones had this horror/terror vibe instead of the sometimes funny/silly direction. Good to see how much of it can be achieved by colors alone. The White Scars are just perfect. Absolutely love the paintjob. I think I saw photos from an event where Ed from November Echo Wargaming was talking about them. Great to see them close up. Thanks for this report!

Thank you so much! And I agree, the GW daemons are very ‘cartoony’ in my view and I really wanted something that evoked a bit more fear. They should be scary and unsettling! Josh’s Scars are amazing. We’re lucky that he lives very close by so we see them a lot at local events and such. Top army, top lad.

Just a heads up that models with Aethereal Invulnerability cannot make invuln saves against force weapons, so those librarian wounds should have gone straight through.

Thank you! The Sovereign, Rat Beasts and Harbinger bodyguard models were all 3D prints by a designer called Lord of the Print, though I think they may have just rebranded… and I’m not sure what they’re called now. You should be able to find the STL’s on MyMiniFactory though if you search for ‘Mistress of Corruption’ as that’s the name of the model used for the Sovereign.

Love the HH content anyway, but I'm getting more drawn to the warp. I'm already the architect of the hersey in my word bearers legion, but I want to add some ruinstorm daemons to add to my ghal vorbak & mhara gal already. I'm probably going to do a full daemon army, but I'm after a more non GW nightmare aesthetic like terrifying monsters, instead of the usual korne, nurgle, slannesh, tzeentch vibe 😊

It’s ‘Skalok’ which is the dragon of Vorgaroth the Scarred. The model was made by Forge World but sadly discontinued a couple of years ago.

Just eyeballing it, it looks like a Lord of the Print model, as do a few others. They've got a very distinct look.
