Michael Vega You change the trigger sensitivity, so when you tap the bass drum, a loud sound will come out. I wouldn't say it makes it that much easier, but it does make playing stupid speeds easier.

Sarah I personally use triggers, it actually makes playing harder, cause every little mistake is heard, and if your trigger is too sensitive then it'll even pick up your snare strikes if the resonance is strong enough, so it honestly makes you have to play cleaner, even at fast speads

I just believe we’ll be getting a new wave of Deathcore cuz of Lorna Shore, Slaughter to Prevail, etc. But that’s just my opinion, you may disagree. I agree that we've had some badass newer bands. Come out in the past 2 years. But Honestly, I can't really see it getting any better from now as far as the future of the genre. Generic Deathcore is completely dead. Unless your band has some over the top feature (Infant Annihaltor, Rings of Saturn) and/ or take influence from other genres. Like how Lorna Shore/ (New) Carnifex take influence from black metal. The truth is that the popularity for this genre is fading out. So unless a band or group of bands help to reinvent the wheel. There will be no Third Wave.

watching in 2017, i only looked this vid up again to compare it to their performance i just saw live a few days ago. ill admit as a fellow vocalist, its hard to stay consistant over a long period of time, but when i saw them a few days ago, Phil literally just mid range yelled all the lyrics to every song including vicer. was kind of a let down. I was hoping hed throw down that low vox on vicer.

i cannot stand deathcore and the lack of depth in songwriting from most bands in the genre (i.e. chelsea grin) but whitechapel did it so much better back in the day with "this is exile." the songs had dynamics and every section was not like the previous. talent was growing in the band over the years with drummer ben harclerode. dude is a beast with EXCELLENT technique. i just got done watching a chelsea grin live video, like i said before, i don't listen to the genre, and i can say with complete confidence that chelsea grin is one of the worst, non talented bands to ever be considered a band. after nearly puking at the sound of their god awful "music" and reading all of the comments of individuals who don't have a SHRED of musical knowledge saying how good they sound despite having marge simpson as a frontman, i quickly turned to this video. this is such a better display of music composition that i actually enjoy t more every time i watch it
