I have to retract my comments. I actually love it now. I use the trial maybe 2-3 days and bought it. There is so much good this app can do. I still think $149 is high but $109 is for sure reasonable!

You could add Soundpaint into this workflow, with the user import sampler, and make some fun instruments. * Came back to say that I recorded some chunks of NBA highlights. If you catch the announcer voice, it chops into nice little vocal bits that are unrecognizable. The crowd noise creates a little distortion and there's all sorts of other little artifacts that can rise up.

I'm testing the plugin but when I try to import audio into the plugin it says that the audio I'm importing is not an audio file. I tried loading wav and mp3 files, does anybody know why this happens??
@audiotoolshed Жыл бұрын
No idea since I imported without any issue. What are the file formats? Try 24 bit and 16 bit files at 44,1 or 48 to see if that works.

lovely, what are the main differences with loopmix from audiomodern?
@audiotoolshed Жыл бұрын
Loopmix can do multiple audio wavs on multiple tracks and also more options to have the loops fit a certain tempo. with its x2 etc. With loopmix you can decide which parts you want randomized and which dont which mean you can more easily get variations o a certain loop with randomization. Life has better sounding randomization I think - sounds more musical right out of the box. Life has those two recording methods with the app and the life recorder which are pretty handy.

I'm split on this one: I think the capture sound and direct cloud upload features are cool. It's convenient for using sounds you come across in your DAW with little to no effort. But that's only 20% of the plugin at most. The rest, step-sequencer, beat suggestion etc. is nothing special IMO. For 149€, or even 109€, I don't think it's worth it.

Devs are running out of ideas. Randomizer plugs end up on plugin boutique at 90% off 🤦🏻♂️ in theory a cool idea, but think outside the box on this and save yourself some money. Tap out some random patterns with your hands/fingers. (Example) record them (quality really doesn’t matter) Ableton create sampler with sounds of your choice. Convert audio to MIDI and you have your OWN MIDI generated rhythm pattern, playing whatever samples you want. Works wonders for drum fills 😉 take the $100 you saved and take your person out for a date 🤣

The point with plugins like this is usually workflow and quickly/intuitively getting to creative results. I can probably replicate 90% plugins with eq, compression, saturation and daw editing/automation

I have to say that maybe the main draw for me is removing as much editing as I have to do. I am keyboard and mouse and to me audio editing is grueling on the desktop. You can quickly drag the stems into your DAW, as well as the midi. I'm not convinced that it can totally provide this, but it looks like it might do the trick. I do also enjoy using Foley sounds, so this is up my alley. I run a kitchen store and spent 20 minutes going around sampling. It was quite a treat to come home and sit down at the computer and be off and running.
