This was the perfect "peak" lineup David Coverdale had going on, with this phase of Whitesnake. IMHO. John Skyes is tearing it up beyond the musical heavens during his epic solo At Seibu Stadium, Tokyo, Japan. That was freakin' brutal. Crazy. Almost four decades ago. Way before the internet even existed. Love how John used a Fender strat during intro (ala Jeff Beck). Plus the amazing Cozy Powell on drums. Pumping John Skyes. Especially during solo section of song @9:24 on. Imagine if this lineup had stuck together for at least the following five years. One may have seen a different shade of things ahead with Whitesnake. Personally feel the results would have been far better with John Sykes throughout the '80s. Great dynamic guitarist, vocalist, songwriter.

In addition to the talent and the unquestionable evolution of Sykes on the original theme, it should be noted and much, the progress of the great Cozy Powell on the same. Thanks Cozy!

@@diegodz7510 Cozy was the epitome of a Rock Drummer, a Hard Rock Drummer like no other who blessed many of the best rock bands of that era with his amazing talent.

I have met the man several times. Each encounter he was polite, sober and engaging. I must say though, that I alway felt a sadness from within. The road and away from your core can do it no matter how successful you are.
