Got my pines thinned hard last month. About 15 acres. Just have to wait for the burn ban to expire at the end of April.

Same problem... great success using backpack blower...labor intensive but couple hours does a lot for core territory...

It all looks great. You should show the deer habitat before and after. Im not just talking about browse, bedding and cover. I am talking about the number of deer that you had previously or lack of and now what your property after improvements carries with bucks and does . For example if you had a few deer that just rarely passed through and now you keep bucks and does on your oroperty or use it as a destination property , if that makes sense.

Better treat those beech stumps or the root suckers will take over. I made that mistake a few years ago.

It’s not that many that will take over. I want the stump sprouts for food. They eat the heck out of them.
