Federal money not state. 10, 15 year or lifetime on some. Every Usda office is run a little different and actually can vary by county. Some follow to the letter of the program and some Usda employees are more laid back. Make sure to certify every year and keep trees and invasives out. I’ve been in CRP 12 years.

@@midwesternoutdoorsandnatur8272 Hahah he also said "they will come plant this for you" - No they won't... you have to do it yourself or hire it done. Gotta love when you correct someone and they don't acknowledge what is happening.

I think, once people are comfortable with my armor suits and hover bike around town, I could eventually land my personal ship here. It's extremely large, like a baseball field or 3. So the logistics of just landing it somewhere would lead me to think public, non-wildlife conservation areas like CRP land would be a good place to land it. I could also just fly the hover bike to it and fly inside without landing it... but it does have landing gear.

Doesn't this CRP force America to be more dependent on foreign import?
@Whitetail_Properties7 ай бұрын
CRP (conservation reserve program) doesn't have anything to do with foreign imports.

Depends on the crop you are looking at, but USA is a major exporter of many ag products, and only imports things that are not suitable for growing here. CRP encourages landowners to engange in practices that will help the overall ecology of the country, improving soil and water quality, more habitat for pollinators which helps our ag industry, etc.

@krysatheo might do a google search and see how much corn, hay, heads of cattle, ect that we do import.

What a stupid comment. You want every square inch of ground in this country to be corn and beans?

I understand you're looking at this from a hunting perspective, but bullshit, now compare it to raising crops, the market for crops and the fact that the govt is paying you (through taxpayers money) to not grow crops. According to the govt we can't sustain ourselves, we need to buy oil from other countries, we can't do biofuels, etc. Apparently nobody in the world needs our crops either. So, not slamming you because you have an opportunity to get money to make your hunting better, at the cost of everyone else. Oh, and I am an avid hunter.
