Hey, what’s up guys in this video we are headed to the sourgrass jeep trail because mostly everything is still closed up here, Sourgrass is our favorite little local trail and it has never dissapoint. Its open year-round and due to the high amount of snow we received throughout the winter season the’re some new challenges this trip we will have to face. The snow is melting fast and the waterways are flowing heavily. Ive crossed this water crossing many times on 31 inch MTs. This time its a bit different. Exactly, now I have the excuse to build some sliders so that’s coming. And those side steps came off as soon as we got home 🤣 My kids are bigger now so they just climb up the tire. my wife liked them so I left them on since she does drive the jeep but she’ll live lol🍻

We did Sourgrass trail October last year, then Dear Valley the next day. The water crossing was less than you had, but still challenging. Get some sliders on that rig.

Crazy how that 4 door JL with all the gear makes it through the river without much fuss (did it even have lockers?) And the 2 tj's almost make it. Show's how much the engineering has come. I wonder if water gets in the JL tho.

Yeah first two Jeeps were locked, both tjs were not. The longer wheel base was definitely conquering this obstacle at this point. Unfortunately those steps on my tj were what was keeping me from the last climb over. Those were taken off 🤣👍🏼🍻

And man, to think u can basically buy a stock jeep, put 35's on and ur little shit kid and play his ipad in the back and be non the wiser, as his daddy calmy, with lockers on, gets through obstacles. I have seen so many videos with a 3 year old in a booster seat being tossed around in very old, shitty jeeps, and if something where to break down, or the kid needs to get out of the jeep, I can already hear the crying. A neat trick you can do if you bend the tie rod (the stock tie rod) is if you have a Hi-Lift Jack you can use the handle as a sleeve over the tie rod and get back home. We did that for my friends TJ when he bent his bouncing too much up a hill climb in NC. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5fVd4KAdshseqs (Note the video was after he already bent it and we were at smaller obstacles when he re-bent it in the video.) When that happened to him I immediately ordered the heavy duty steering kit from Currie! LOL.
