She got through 2 songs before appearing breathless & exhausted, taking a break, carrying a towel for the next songs.After 6 songs, during which she coughed, she left for a break. Upon her return to the stage, she sat down for a gravelly version of some of her old hits. She looked disoriented. She then he croaked her way thru I Will Always Love You, pausing to drink & towel off as she was about to hit the song's high note, changing it to a soft coo.

Barbra Streisand was born in 1942, and when she was 47 in 1989 (same as Whitneys current age), Barbras vocalabilty was still tremendous!! Listening to Were Not Making Love Anymore released in that year, her vocal range, timbre and singing techniques were fully intact, pretty much identical to the way she sounded in her teens, 20s and 30s.

I saw Whitney in 86 & 87, when she was at her very best... I saw in again in the mid 90's and she didn't sing the same... she was never a great entertainer, but she talked a little more and dragged out the songs, really not singing the songs as she did when she was younger. I feel that the media and people acted like she was the best voice ever, which just was never the truth ... and now she hasn't taken care of herself and it is gone, get real people and she'll have a easier time.

Oh my goodness, I'm just happy to see her doing music again. she could sync the whole show like Brit and some others but she didn't. Hey Aretha, Patti, Chaka and lots of the other great vocalist , can't sing some of their most powerfull songs in the key or arrangement as the first time they recorded it. Some people's voices hold up and some don't. Some of it is luck, some of it is abuse to the voice and some of it can be from illness or exhaustion. Sure Barbra Streisand still has about 80% of her voice (too bad her material sucks) which is incredible for her age, but Julie Andrews not a drug addict lost her voice years ago so you never know. Now Whitney accepting this is another story, I'm sure it must be difficult.

She was older, with an older and untrained voice and his breathing was no longer the same, his lungs had lost much of the functionality, but the lady W. the decline in her vocal ability is down to a disfunction in her nervours system the brain hast to tell your vocal cords to hit those high notes thats what drugs does. i know quite alot about this doing what i do. shes still good tho and will continue to improve in time.

Todays Whitney, well, theres really not much to say, youll be lucky if she can sing above C5 in chest voice or head voice competently, let alone trying to sing songs like You Give Good Love or Run To You. Even if she does sing those hits, she will sing them in a much lower key and let the background singers take all the high notes. WHATS THE POINT??? Its just SO WRONG that shes touring!

Gotta say, I wouldn't go see Whitney in concert. I've always been a fan, but she's completely and utterly lost her voice. She can't sing anymore! I agree she's jumped on this tour way too soon, and is pissing off millions of people. She needs to just rest that voice more, and get vocal surgery, which would mean A LOT more resting, and then vocal training, etc. Unfortunately for the fans and the rec company, if she ever gets back any semblance of a voice, it'll be many years from now.
