The fact that she got up in 2009 and sang an 80’s hit proves that no matter what shape her voice is in, people love Whitney Houston - she was and remains timeless.

come on go listen to Tina Turner she is 79 and still can sing like crazy
@jacobpatrickpoulsen66085 жыл бұрын
You do know that Tina retired from touring and performing a decade ago? So in her late 60´s she could sing. You can not make the point that she can still sing if she´s not performing anymore and even Tina said in a interview she did with Oprah (after she retired from perfomring) that she had troubles delivering the vocals that she could deliver when she was younger.

The thing I love most about this is the integrity and strength she showed through this period, she knew her voice wasn’t what it once was, and she still got on the stage and sang live every single time, and while her voice wasn’t what it was, it was still the most beautifully rich voice with a husky tone. Respect to Whitney for staying real.

She did a great job. Her voice changed, no high notes, but still an awesome, no lip synch performance. Blessings..

Looking back I remember how twitter-world mobbed her performance.....But knowing what we know now, I hope everyone appreciates her. She had emphasyma yet she went out there night after night between 2009-2010 and gave us her all. It might not be on par with the 90s Whitney, but the fact that she sang live and gave the best she could give is a testimony for her greatness...

When she goes 'caaaalls' it drives me nuts.She definitely possessed that unique magic as a singer till the very bitter end of her days.I think that was a great performance although her voice had changed a lot back then.I miss her so bad!!!, it hurts to know there will never be another Whitney no matter how close to her vocals they could come 😢
@jacobpatrickpoulsen66086 жыл бұрын
I dont really care if her voice was not the same here as it was when she was younger. She looked great and had a fun time singing this song, as you can see by how she was caring herself on stage that night. You just could feel like it was a new beginning for her. It just seemed like she was back on track here and you could just feel her joy of performing in front of the audience. The joy and the happiness from her, was what made this performance magical and special for me to watch. :)

Yes, the industry and the powers that be who are in charge do not really care about the health and well being of the artist. Whitney was not well, and the push to do more, be more, sell more records, the loss of her voice, and the pressure to make a comeback, etc along with all of her personal problems became way too much. Her work here was done!!! It was time for her to rest.
