Even if her voice was not the same, the album itself still sold very well worldwide and the album was not a flop. If she had just released the album and did not tour, when she was not ready to do it. Then the comeback would have been more succesful. The "I Look To You" album was pretty good. Not her best album, but she had emotions in her vocals and her spirit still shined through on the album. :)

I don' understand or like this reporter's questions or negativity towards Whitney. Her struggles are important, but she should have talked about how, in the real world, Whitney has never gone anywhere. She's Whitney Houston Ms. Thang, and she didn't go anywhere!! I am not saying Whitney did not love Bobby Brown, But what I got out of this was, she picked Bobby out, why? She was already doing drugs, so with Bobby reputation it was easy for them both to do drugs, since she wad already doing drugs, she couldn't pick a man like Kevin Costner or Denzel Washington, why? But, many of the greatest artists had deep addictions, like Billie Holiday and Judy Garland. Actually, Didn't We.. sits higher than ..Love You. Even still its highest belted note is an E; a minor third below the Gflat that Ann Wilson belts in Alone (which she still hits on their current tour at 59). It's the same note that Whitney sings in her head voice in Love You. Whitney's songs after the key change that most of her songs have sit about a third below where Heart's songs usually center. Very different singers, both amazing in their day, but note for note Ann has the higher belt.

Not only Whitneys vocal range has dropped dramatically, Ive also noticed she developed a lisp, you can hear it in I Look To You and recent interviews, shes having trouble enunciate some words. Apparently due to drug, Whitney had to replace some of her teeth.

I think Mr. Foster is being very generous here to Whitney. Divas such as Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, and Aretha Franklins all sounded GREAT in their mid 40s, they reached those high notes with ease.
