I had to come back and watch this clip again. What an emotional performance. This was perhaps the most humbling performance Whitney Houston has ever given. She sings the entire song to her mom and they were both crying off and on the entire song!!! Sounds like her mom rocked her in her arms many nights they way she did her as a child. There's nothing like a mother's love. You can tell their bond is sooooooooo strong again! God bless you Cissy Houston for loving your daughter past all her pain.

I love Whitney Houston. This performance was so emotional and personal. I loved her courage and bravery in trying to beat her addictions. Whitney's voice may have changed but the woman could sing. She was still a phenomenal singer. She brought the feeling and emotion of the song. I miss her and my heart aches that she is gone. When i see her mother, after Whitneys shout out as she starts to sing "I Look to You" and you can see here fighting back tears. I was so moved. That love between mother and daughter. A daughter who looks up to her mother and longs to sing just like her mother. All those duets they sang so beautifully and so intwined in lifting each other. Whitney life was very deep. It was full. She walked many paths. I seeker life as rich, full and most of all giving and lifting other's.

Agree..regardless of what was ever said about her, she never gave up. She was human and unfortunately for her the sadistic way that she was treated by the media had an obvious profound affect on her. It's just so sad. But, having said that despite whatever was written, said or how she was perceived she always upheld a beautiful spirit that now dwells with God. Some were unhappy but Whitney looked and sounded so beautiful here. She spilled her heart out and gave her all. She and Bobbi Kris were so happy here. Cissy was still proud of her baby. This audience was so supportive and wonderful. This told her she didn’t have to hit the high notes to have the love and support of the audience. I wish she’d done a residency rather then going on tour and she could have trained Krissi through that.

I remember listening to her her songs all day all night, they were that good. I felt so sad when she lost herself into drugs, simply because i was doing the same. Then one day i ran into r. Kellys video when he played that song for the first time. I instantly knew this gonna be that one, that one wich may help her to get back on her feet into life. Just to live, to live! When it came out overdone by Sony and for my opinion they destroyed the whole emotion it transported played by r.kelly. I knew Whitney just smiling but ….. and then. She passed. I was very close with my mother to and it became our song because she knew how much i was fighting my own demons and that i would and will never give up. I had been an inspiration to her, as she to me. She never said a mean word. She wasn’t supporting my addiction but helped a lot. One year after i got clean and back on my feet and started being a solid person i lost my mother doing corona.

Her addiction issues were so much deep than the drugs. She played hard. but I think she was really sensitive. It pains me to see people hate on someone who just brought great joy to people. I loved her. I rooted for her. She was different, extraordinary. The voice was what made her known. But she was a real person. So many aspire or simply dream of mastering something like she did.
