It's also the song Whitney sang the night she was discovered at sweet waters club in NYC in 1983. Clive had been to the club several times to watch her perform and he said when he heard her interpretation of this song he knew he had to sign her. Michael Masser the one who originally wrote this song was there as well, he would go onto write some of Whitney's biggest hits.

4 years of Ali's prime years as a boxer was stolen because he refused to go to Vietnam. Just think what he could have been with those years of boxing history in his legacy. As for Whitney , "The Voice" because she was a victim of her environment and those who surrounded her we missed hearing how her healthy voice would have deepen and richen as she aged. I am thankful that we have these records of history to listen to and to watch. They both were simply amazing.

Amazing performance. I like the fact that Whitney slowed down the tempo of the song, after the earlier performances of this song was intact with the original version of the recording of the song. I think that when she performed the song this way, when it was slowed down, that it showcased her voice in a better way. That way she had more time to showcase her fabulous technique and control over the notes. :)

Her songs and voice clearly sit in the soprano range (How Will I Know, Saving All My Love, You Give Good Love). She had natural ease in her belts and she sang in the upper 5th octave very often. She never lived in her low notes nor had natural comfort there. Her tessitura is the give away that she is a soprano
