If they would just follow Thailand and give the American tourists a 60 days visa exemption, they will easily see 1 million+ American tourists coming to Vietnam every year. If they do a 5 years visa like Destination Thailand Visa, but for Vietnam, you will see many Americans moving to Vietnam to live and driving up their stagnant real estate markets to make them all rich. All those empty condos in Mui Ne will finally get sold for hundreds of thousands of $ for each condo by the beach.

Chris, you should look into the foreign direct investment Korean companies have put into Vietnam. That's likely the number one factor behind the rise in Korean influence. It should be no surprise then that the guys with money are affecting the dating scene and prices in general. I lived in Korea for a long time and immediately recognized the Korean influence everywhere when I arrived in Saigon. I just arrived in Da Nang yesterday. I'm only half kidding when I say it feels like Seoul but in the tropics. The Korean influence here is really strong, far more visible than in Saigon.
