You ... REAALLY overestimate Yusuke imo. Brave blade crit rate is irrelevant because bosses in royal cant be crit, and for damage, Yusuke actually ranks 5TH in dps at the end game. Because Ryuji gets Charge naturally, Ann gets Concentrate naturally ( and can get it much earlier from the Ring of Greed ) and Haru can get charge from the Ring of Pride Haru wuth Triple Down: √(69×30)×1,25×1,5= 255,92 Ryuji with God Hand: √(73×800)=241,16 Ann with Blazing Hell: √(78×180)×1,25×1,5= 222,16 Yusuke with Brave Blade: √(78×600)= 216,33 In fact Makoto can also outdamage Yusuke endgame, because she can get +11 in all stats from her gun (65 to 76) and she gets Concentrate from the Jazz Club: Makoto with Aomic flare: √(76×200)×1,25×1,5= 231,16 I know that dps isnt everything, but damage is literally the only thing Yusuke has, as he gets no form of real support, unlike Ann, Ryuji and Makoto, even Haru who also doesnt learn ant good support spells (karn spells are super situational ) has the advantage of having the strongest skill any party member has access to in Triple Down. And for the third semester, Yusuke has by far the second worst third tier skill. If you analyze the ultimate skills party members have: Ann: Concentrate but on all party members. the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this. Ryuji: Charge but on all party memvers. the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this Makoto: Debilitate but on all enemies. the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this Haru: tetrakarn and Makrakarn on all party members. the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this Sumire: Revolution but only on party members. the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this Akechi: the strongest almighty skill in the game, the protagonist doesnt have access to anything like this. Meanwhile Yusuke has: Heat riser on all party member .... so literally just Thermopylae... except Thermopylae costs 30 sp meanwhile Yusukes skill costs 90sp... Yes Thermopylae has the disadvantage of only being usable while ambushed ... except for Attis who can spam it with " Vitality of the Tree" . So unlike all party members who can do things the protag cant, Yusukes skill is a straight DOWNGRADE from a skill the protagonist already has access too. Doesnt help the massive SP cost and Yusuke having naturally low SP pool. The only party member with a worse third tier skill being Morgana. Its not all negatives sure, Yusuke is an early game POWERHOUSE, getting the strongest moves for early game ( Giant Slice, Rising Slash and Tempest Slash ), he also has hands down the best set of weapons out of any character ( nearly all his Katanas increase strenght ) this causes him to DOMINATE Madarame, Kaneshiro and Futabas palaces, he also looks a lot better by comparison when Ryuji hits his dud stage during mid game ( when he straight up stops learning any good moves, like at all ), however Yusuke proceeds to have the biggest fall from grace starting from Okumurua. As soon as Haru joins where she automatically has Triple Down she immediately jumps to the top spot in DPS ( Yes, Triple down even without charge, still outdamages Yusukes charged up Tempest Slash on average ) and hes dethroned to the No2 spot , then after Okumura where the player gets the Ring of Greed for Ann and Makoto and those two also get access to fire/nuke boost passives and the amp accessories become avaible at the shop they also immediately outdamage Yusuke ( 2nd tier spells outdamage Tempest Slash on average, while Dyne spells deal almost the same amount of damage as Myriad Slashes on average however Ann and Makoto get Agidyne/Freidyne WAY earlier then Yusuke gets Myriad Slashes ) and he drops further to the 4th spot, and when Ryuji finally gets Gods Hand + during the penultimate palace its straight up no longer a competition with him and Yusuke and he drops even FURTHER to the No5 slot ( yes by Yaldabaoths Palace, Yusuke is the 2nd worst damage dealing party member second only to Morgana ). Yusuke of course gets a small life line from Ryujis trait " Raging Temper " which increases all phys attacks for the entire party by 40%, however the problem is the trait only activates a measily 20% of the time ( 25% when Captain Kidd evolves) this means that for 80%/75% of the time Yusuke is a dud teammate, especially since he NEEDS Ryuji on the team, and one of your team slots is already probably occupied by Morgana/Makoto meaning that Yusuke is in direct competition with Haru, Akechi, Ann (with Ann having one of the best traits in the game after Ryuji, letting get more uses out of high SP cost skills ) and Sumire (who has access to the second best phys move in the entire game after Hassou Tobi + gets Apt Pupil which Yusuke doesnt have ) for a team slot

Just a thought. Theres the Double Stat bug where the game just reapplies Stat bonuses in battle (no setup it just does that even though it won’t show) and I’m wondering if you factored in Yusukes Ame weapon he gets near immediately that gives +5/6 (+10/12) STR because there was no mention of that. I’m not saying this as a defense to Yusuke just curious about it.
@conansglasses2645Күн бұрын
@@helpihavebats6392youre right, Yusuke is one of the few characters who can maximize his ST end game, with JUST his armor + weapon slot As a default, all characters have access to a +8(+16) armor .Ryuji has a +5(+10) st club in mid-game . Haru has a +3(+6) st axe . Makoto has a +11(+22) all gun. So without sacrificing accessory slots the stats look something like: Ryuji: 73 + 26 = 99st Ann: 78 + 16= 94 mag Makoto: 65 + 38 = 99 mag Haru: 69 + 22 = 91 st However as you can see not only do Ryuji and Makoto max their stats, but Ann and Haru nearly do so ( and can max their stats with their accessory slot ), so Ryuji and Makoto still outdamage Yusuke + Ann and Haru EVEN WITHOUT MAX STATS : Brave Blade: √(99×600)=243,72 Blazing Hell: √(94×180)×1,25×1,5=243,89 Triple Down: √(91×30)×1,25×1,5×3=293,90. So no, even tho he can max his strength stat, all the characters that outdamage Yusuke still do so, the only one he creeps up on (Ann) can actually widen the gap if you give her any accessory that increase magic. While yes its true that Yusuke is the undisputed best early game character dominating palace 2, 3 and 4 , as soon as Haru joins in with Triple Down during palace 5 he's immediately dethroned (and yes, even without charge, Harus Triple down eclipses Yusuke's charged up Tempest Slash on average ) , and he just keeps tumbling further when Makoto gets Nuke Boost and the Nuke Amp accessory and concentrate from the jazz club and Ann gets fire boost passive and fire amp accessory and concentrate from the Ring of Greed during palace 6 and he topples from No2 down to No4, and when you finally reach palace 7 and Ryuji gets God Hand he falls even further ( he temporarily outdamages Haru when he gets Myriad slashes + charge , however when Haru gets the Charge accessory from either her plants or from the charge accessory after shidos palace, Yusuke is strictly the second worst dps party member after Morgana)

Yukiko Amagi is the best partty member in persona 4 by far. She dosn't have the buffs Tedy does but what she does she does better than anyone ellse. her crazy magic stat, fire boost fire amp and the onlly sevear damage atack available to a regular partty member thats allso AOE means she can hit stronger than Naoto when Naoto uses concentrate. and Yukiko allso has acces to concéntrate to double her allready insane damage And Her crazy high SP means she can actually keep doing this for a while. she is by far strongest partty member. With the exception of Narukami but he can use multiple personas. On top of that She is allso the best healer in the game. Full partty heal, revive and cure ailments. Acces to matarunda to lower atack of all enemies at once meaning she can mitigate damage beffore it happens. Its like having Morgana in the team but hits as hard as Aan. From the moment you get Yukiko she is the best partty member in the game thers no a point in the game when you don't need a healer and a DPS and she is the best at both. and she onlly gets better and better as the game goes one She is just the best.

Burning Petals has a base power of 190, square root that because of the damage formula and multiply by 2.5, 1.5, and 1.25 from Mind Charge, Fire Amp, and Fire Boost, and you get roughly 64.6 Primal Force has a base power of 1100 (yes, really). Square root that and multiply it by 2.5 for Power Charge and you get roughly 82.9, 28.3% stronger than Yukiko's Mind Charge Burning Petals. That's not even including the 25% crit chance, that can be doubled to 50% with the Omega Drive accessory, or that Kanji's Str stat is slightly higher than Yukiko's Mag stat(Kanji's caps at 94 at lvl 99, Yukiko's caps at 88 at lvl 99) Yukiko's damage output has nothing on Kanji's, plus Kanji has the highest HP and Endurance and resists physical damage, that's why imo he's my pick for the 2nd best party member after Teddie.

Yukari and Koromaru are without a doubt way better than Ken in Reload. Kens Barriers are good but it doesnt matter if you can full heal the Team for a fraction of the SP cost with Yukari compared to Kens management of SP. In terms of general support Koromaru is the best no matter what, having the best Theurgy with Power Howling by far since Physical moves are way better than Magic in Reload. On top of that he can learn Revolution and Debilitate which outweighs Ken by some much. And if the before wasnt already enough he has Auto Masakunda as a characteristic which makes him even better

Yukaris cheap healing really doesn’t do as much as a Mediarahan that applies Magic and Phys Walls to everybody. Ken has the fastest Theurgy in the game so this is only taking as little as 3 turns to full charge (for free). Yuka does less damage than Ken and Kens utility with 3 Elements and Support Skills allow Phys Characters to be completed reckless while always being in a good position. Koros goated tho

I 100% P4G about 11 times now + I mod the game in my freetime. All the characters in P4 are good to use, mainly because the game is nowhere near hard enough to really require a specific setup. However, if I had to make a ranking, I'd say Yosuke is the second worst character after Naoto. Yosukes main issues are: 1. Horrendous level up movepool, there's a massive stretch in the game between Yosuke getting Garula and him finally getting Brave Blade where his viability drops off a cliff, for some reason he and Yukiko take forever to actually get Wind boost/Fire boost, so for the majority of the mid game you're stuck with Power Slash as your best skill, even then Yosuke is the last magic paty member to get his elemental booster so even when he does get Wind Boost at level 45, Yukiko Teddie Chie and Kanji outdamage him by a landslide, he also learns Garudyne later than Yukiko and Teddie get their Dyne skills, and on the other hand Sonic Pumch>Power Slash simply don't compare to Kanjis Kill Rush/Torrent Rush and Chies Rampage. So basically from the second dungeon all the way into Magatsu Mandala Yosuke lags behind both the magic (except Naoto ) and phys party members . 2. His lack of good support, the only good thing Yosuke has going for him is Sukukaja, which is by far the worst of the kaja spells, since Persona doesn't use the " Press Turn " System you're really not rewarded for dodging attacks, really the only good thing Yosuke has going for him is casting Sukukaja on Chie during the second dungeon to make sure her Rampage connects, but after Chie gets the Auto-Sukukaja armor from the 2nd Dungeon, this role becomes obsolete. And no, his healing is the worst in the party ( yes even Kanji wuth Mediarama, is a better healer than Yosuke, at least that's AOE ) because single target healing spells are generally not wroth it since most bosses in this game use AOE spells anyway (if 1 party member needs healing, chances are ALL of them need healing). And btw no, relying on Youthful Wind ( which he doesn't get until the game is literally over ) and wasting your accessory Slot for the Devine Grace accessory for Healing, is NOT optimal especially since even with this setup Youthfuk Wind only heals for about 250-300 damage which won't bring up any of your party members to full HP during the final 2 dungeons. Now Yosuke does have a couple things going for him: 1. The only party member with Masukukaja, its true that its the worst Kaja Spell, however since Kanji gets Matarukaja and Teddie gets Marakukaja ( and healing spells) it means with this team yo ucan effectively cast Heat Riser on the whole party in 1-turn. 2. To follow up on the previous point, by casting all Kaja skills on the entire party you can actually guarantee that Rise always casts Mind/Power Charge when she drops in (Her AI always checks: Ailments > HP > SP > Tarukaja > Rakukaja > Sukukaja ) meaning that if the entire party is above 50% HP and SP, and no one has any ailments on and everyone has all Kaja spells active, Rise is guaranteed to always cast Charge support (with power Charge Yosuke outdamages Yukiko and Naoto) 3. Yosuke is the first phys party member to get his severe phys skill, granted Brave Blade is the weakest severe phys, but it gives Yosuke a major power boost going into Magatsu Mandala, he's also a good contender for the Apt Pupil Drive accessory (Brave Blade has 20% crit chance so with Apt Pupil Yosuek ends up with a heigher crit rate than Chie ). 3. Yosuke has some of the best equipment options out of all the party members, from the +50sp daggers to the +10 strenght Kitchen Knives during August to the Wind Boost daggers that free up an extra skill slot for him to use, Yosuke doesn't have any shortage of good weapons to use. 4. Early access to ailment skills, Makajam and Tentarafoo are GOD SEND for the early and mid game, where there's a whole bunch of strong enemies ( like the Tanks, The Jotuns, The Idols, The Dice, the giant Mecha shadows) that can completely wipe out an entire party member, Makajam and Tentarafoo completely shut down these string enemies before they can give you a game over, it also makes him perfect for safely farming strong Red Shadows for EXP, he also learns Panic Boost early from bike rides to increase the accuracy of his Tentarafoo as well. However the main problem with Yosuke is that he only gets good in the LATE GAME, so he ends up being very lackluster for most of the early to mid-game which is arguably the most important part of the game for your party members to shine where you're still weak, since the Protagonist already gets significantly OP by late game. His Damage output is also not the best ( without power charge he's the second worst damage dealing party member, outclassed by Kanji, Chie, Yukiko and Frost shot Naoto) and is very overreliant on Rise supporting with Charge ( remember that Rise only drops down every 3 turns during boss battles ). The only thing he has going for him compared to Kanji and Chie is the fact that he's a mixed attacker meaning that the Culprit and Kusumi no Okami and Izanami ( all of whom resist/null phys ) don't really slow him down like they do with the other phys party members. And his one saving grace ( the full party Heat riser with Him + Kanji + Teddie ) doesnt really NEED him, again Sukukaja is the worst of the kaja spells and is also the most disposable of the group, so Kanji + Teddie casting Taru/Rakukaja is already enough to support the party, and Yosuke can easily be replaced with Yukiko or Chie for damage (oh and Chie also gets a party wide Heat Riser in 1 skill during the third semester as well, thus rendering this role useless ) .

I can’t believe people don’t give Naoto or Akechi the love they deserve as party members. Any character with almighty is immediately on my list for “best party member”. Not to mention Naoto’s multi-elemental magic and Akechi having access to the strongest moves in the game.
@helpihavebats63922 күн бұрын
Almighty Magic in P4G is generally really awful having slightly higher base power over regular Magic but Almighty Boost/Amp doesn’t exist meaning they’re doing no damage even with Neutral hits (a decent amount of enemies for some reason have a Resistance to Almighty). P4G is also a game where Magic is not great damage wise and it has only 4 that really matter due to how Bless/Curse work meaning most team layouts are going to cover 3/4 of the main Elements. Naoto doesn’t offer any real good Support Skills like Teddie or Kanji, has the worst Dps and shes also one of the frailer party members. In P5 Akechi has no access to Almighty Boost/Amp so mostly the same story there. Akechi does have decent Phys Skills both times he joins but they aren’t the strongest options. he lacks both Charge and Gun Boost/Amp to put out big numbers.
@cringecity1242 күн бұрын
Yes Akechi does have some really strong moves but he doesn’t have anything to buff them attack, buffs, and concentrate/charge only get you so far no boost or amp skills. I really don't think P3R's honorable mention should've gone to Yukari. Healing through items is incredibly abundant, and she doesn't really have much else going for her besides decent magic damage and her theurgy teamwide Mind Charge, and magic attacks aren't nearly as strong as physical attacks in this game, so her theurgy really isn't as useful as Koromaru, who not only has the teamwide Power Charge, but also learns Debilitate, Revolution, Masukukaja, and Auto-Masukunda(the only source of auto-kunda in the game) for support, three damage types for hitting weaknesses, and Getsu-ei for a high crit rate and decent boss damage. Koromaru has everything you'd want and is the only party member I think can compete with Ken as the top pick. I often put the two side by side at the top of my character rankings.

@RealJupiterr understandable, like you said at the end, character rankings are super volatile and can change at a moments notice. In fact, I originally considered either Akihiko or Junpei for the top slot, because of their insane damage outputs with their personal trait. Junpei is goat in P3 wdym On any case bro is underrated af He can pull big numbers with the right equipment thanks to elemental or crit weapons and he's a great alternative to Aigis thanks to Spring of Life and Marakukaja, so he can play a small support role when he's not attacking and a good tank overall bro legit never dies if u put him Regen 3 accesory, Vorpal Blade is a bit late sure but he literally destroys any enemy once he is in Great and has that skill so he's also pretty good for Portable superboss. Ken is also solid, he has mid damage sure but it is compensated by his good coverage, skills like Vile Assault and especially his elemental weapon again being unlocked really early making him good for all mid-game and hard battles like the Sleeping Table, I can see ppl picking him over Yukari for his coverage alone.
@Orih92 күн бұрын
I would also argue Ken power creeps Yukari as a healer in the original P3 games the moment he gets Mediarama. He has better offensive coverage, better end game damage with at least Spear Master if not Primal Force if you're playing P3P, better survivability with higher HP and Agility, and also isn't weak to Electricity which makes him pair with Aigis better. Yukari's moveset is honestly kind of bad in the originals. No Wind Boost/Amp, no Salvation or Amrita, a dead action slot in Charmdi that she isn't programmed to actually use even when party members are charmed, and the worst HP in the game... She's definitely great for the value she offers in the early and mid game, but Ken just does what she can do more reliably excluding wind coverage.
