This series all about behram and astelle picking someone and Jarrod reacting how it was some of most dumb shit he ever heard.

An unorthodox shout but Adam Parore was probably the best gloveman I think NZ has produced at international level. Incredible economy of movement and hand speed. To be fair, he was never really keeping to spinners all that often except those long early Vettori spells. The less said about his batting or general attitude the better.

Parore was picked as a batsman for a few tests. He looked a better batsman than his average suggests. But he was a silky glove man.

Les Ames averaging in 40's as a WK in pre WW2 era is amazing.

I knew Seymour Clark would come up! I love Presanna Jayawardene and that nearly swung it to Estelle. But really Jarrod wins this one comfortably.

Syed Kirmani, Ian Healy, Kiran More come to mind for their keeping skills. Rodney Marsh and Jeffrey Dujon were superb keepers to pace. And Mr. Kimber, Gilchrist 2005 Ashes, critical drops.

Farokh Engineer kept to the great spinners. Must've been handy.

@@knagarjun True. But he wasn’t the best keeper even then but better batsman that pulled him into favour. Not a run a minute Gilchrist but batted well especially abroad

Respect to Behram for picking Alec Stewart over his hero Kumar Sangakkara, after due deliberation. It should be noted Stewart played 26 of his 82 Tests as keeper against dominant Australia, and averaged on a par with or better than the likes of Sangakkara, Prior, and BJ Watling against them. Then there was Donald and Pollock and Ambrose and Walsh to contend with! Tough. Super player - not least because of his pride in professionalism which enabled him to still be performing the demanding keeper-bat role aged 40!

This podcast should be called Wicket Keeper Batsman and not just a wicket keeper. I have watched cricket since the seventies. Besides Knotts, Kirmani, Bari, Marsh, Kalicharan, Russell, Bob Taylor, and Ian Smith should have made the list and not just mentions.

Whats wrong with Saha and Foakes? Saha is the best keeper India ever had and Foakes is probably England's best for the past 10 years....Watling was also really good.......
