I like what they did with Ixalan gods turning into lands and possibly coming back later in the game. It shows that killing a God is no easy task but still keeps the cards well balanced.

I'd love to see a Fate Reforged-esque story line where The Ancient One never was killed by Aclazotz and we could possibly learn his original name. I just love the lore of Ixalan. It might be my favorite plane of all time to visit.

Don't get me wrong, it makes sense that gods exist in Ixalan, however I kinda wanted to see the rise of a new elder dinosaur to replace Etali.

There will never be a replacement for Etali. I think what makes one an Elder is being ancient. There is no Dinosaur with a innate affinity to storms to replace him.

@@delllee4915 I mean, we don't know that. Heck, we didn't even know gods truly existed on this plane so we definitely don't know if there isn't a dinosaur that could or couldn't replace Etali.

It was cathartic seeing what happened to Etali in March of the Machine. On one hand I do like the new phyrexian designs and on the other compleation just meant that they were dead especially with the ending of MoM's story.

I love the flavor of the Ixalan gods. It matches the flavor of the Mayan culture that the sun empire is based on. The Mayan believed that everything goes through cycles, including the universe.

My favorite gods are Ojer Pakpatiq and Aclazotz. Ojer Pakpatiq for being direct and to the point despite what he represents as something innately cryptic. Aclazotz for how he came to be, and what he represents in terms of the story as a whole, even though to me his end goal seems to lead him to ruling over a dead world if he succeeds.

@AetherHub I also don't understand it, but at least Aclazotz is a God. To us it would be pointless because we can't do anything with a desolate wasteland, but maybe he can? Who knows. I would like his reasoning to be better explained though.

I would be interested in knowing what could the original black mana god represent. Could his undoing be the reason why the olmec civilisations didn't evolve too much ? With the lack of ambition to drive scientific research society stayed how it was ? Or could hid dead "body" have been the thing that gave life to the mycotyrant ? It will never be asnwered but the idea is really interesting to see a totally benevolant black mana god

@@AetherHub My tinfoil theory is that seing how many south american civilisation seemed to have mummies, the original god would have made a lot of mummies/zombies, making the core looking similar to Amonkhet in that regard. Sadly, we'll never know

Idk, I was kinda hoping we get gods like a Dino god that offers direct support to dino tribal. Perhaps a god that does the same to the Ixalan merfolk and humans!? Etc and so forth. Ball was kinda dropped on this.... They really coukd have made alot more suppprt for dinos with the introduction of new gods. Oh well 😒

Yeah so close and side by side the Oltec and Pantheon that we only see one (not worshipped) and only hear of like two others. Sorry, this video falls kinda flat with the story fully lacking any divine presence 😮‍💨

My only question is why is The Jurasic Park Characters on Ixlan? if they wanted to make a Crossover , just make a Fucking crossover. But i do appreciate WOTC not Race swapping Ian Malcom...thats nice, thank you.
