how can you not love Keith Moon in this video? He's awesome!
@mielazul14 жыл бұрын
I've been a lifelong recording artist, and I just want to say that this video totally opened my eyes to the process of recording - basic tracks, overdubbing, and everything else. It all sank into my brain at about 13 years old when I first saw it - after the 5 minutes it takes to get through the video, I had everything I needed to know. I'm more a Zep fan than a Who fan, but this video means a lot to me and I'm always grateful to The Who for that.

As an inner city kid growing up in Brooklyn, I'm so glad that I glued myself to the radio not only listening to WBLS, WWRL, 92 KTU and just relegating myself to urban music but radio stations like WNBC and Don Imus helped me to appreciate and have love for rock music. The Who really captured my ears and this track among the many other hits they recorded over the years is one of my favorites. Keith Moon was one of the baddest drummers around. Classic material!

I'm African-American and when my fellow black people hear me listen to this they judge me, I love hip-hop because it comes from the soul. Now rock and rock 'n' roll comes from the heart. All genres come from somewhere, rap comes from the butt, R&B comes from the spirit

I saw The Who for the first time when I was 13 (and that was 39 years ago) I have had the honor of seeing them a total of 7 times live. This is a great band and this is one of my favorite Who songs. Keith Moon was one of the all time greatest drummers, as was John Entwistle one of the greatest rock bass players. The Who is so good because of the vast amount of talent these 4 men had.I have seen many bands perform live, but none will surpass my memories of seeing The Who perform Who's Next live.

This is probably one of my most favorite videos/movies about The Who ever made. It brings to life the character of each member and shows them at such a high point. Keith Moon will forever be remembered as one of the greatest drummers and one of the most craziest people of rock music. John Entwistle, "Thunder Fingers", was and will forever be one of the greatest bassists ever. Thanks for posting this!

This is rock's true "1/2 & 1/2 VIDEO"! It was understood that although Daltry's vocals, Townsend's guitar & obviously Moon's drums were cut "live" on the studio soundstage; Entwistle's bass, synths & pianos were subsequently "played" from a recorded track, to assist the band in keeping time. Do you really think MOON would be able to "re-create" all his wild'n'crazy drum parts, ad-libs & fills visually to a drum sync track? NO WAY! His playing was always a "ONE-OFF"; that was the greatness of it!
@Boysiesbargains13 жыл бұрын
IF I remember rightly Keith Moon died about 8 weeks after this was recorded so this was his last swansong for The Who.?? How great to see that even near the end, after a lifetime of drug and alcohol abuse... that Keith (and the guys) could still PLAY most of their contemporaries OFF THE STAGE!! :-)) RIP Keith and John
