Matt Yaw i completely agree with eddie having the most insane static strength but just that alone doesn’t win the wsm. You gotta be well rounded and thats why he usually lost. Thor is more well rounded but it just so happened that he got injured that year and he was on track to win. I think brian shaw got injured that year too? Cant remember. But yea big z is probably the best strongman to ever live. Either him or mariusz pudzinowski. I butchered his name but you probably know who im talking about.

Anyone who’s ever done competitive strength knows it’s not about beating the other person, it’s a battle with yourself. If you outlast them, it’s because you conquered your weaker self. If they outlast you, props, because they beat their weaker selves. I’ve been in the gym for over a decade. I used to think of other people as competition. Now, if someone outlifts me I give them love and respect because I know they worked their ass off just like me. We are all trying to overcome weakness. Stay humble 💯
