From what I understand, the game started caching everyone's vote partway through the stream, so every time the votes came in for the next round, it was adding on to the previous round (so the right side was always higher than the left because of the first non-bugged round where right won) - it's why the vote numbers keep getting higher and higher on both sides, with right winning, but there no longer being a 'clear' one sided contest (like 500 left, 4000 right) which you'd expect, until they restarted with a new lobby near the end.
