Al Murray is a brilliant comedian, his on stage persona is a Cockney pub landlord, (a cockney is someone from a certain part of London) (a pub which is short for "public house" is known as a bar to you) (landlord is someone who owns or runs the pub). He is also extremely intelligent, especially with history. He is well worth watching more of.

It's often very dry witty humor, self degrading even, and it ranges from family friendly all the way up to "What the actual F did he just say?!" (the last will be extremely dark and extremely funny!) Greetings from Yorkshire. Al Murray is taking the part of a typical North London pub landlord. Classic behaviour and bar talk known as banter. I've known many of them I used to deliver beer, ale in casks, barrels to pubs. It's a sophisticated form of humour which we take the (piss) out of day today life, politics, history and our selves. Playing with the language. Laughing at the caricature. A Geaser is cockney respect for a man. As in:- He's a Tasty Geaser. Beer ale doesn't come in a cans, it's draught and warm, full of flavour.
