Al Murray is a brilliant comedian, his on stage persona is a Cockney pub landlord, (a cockney is someone from a certain part of London) (a pub which is short for "public house" is known as a bar to you) (landlord is someone who owns or runs the pub). He is also extremely intelligent, especially with history. He is well worth watching more of.
@eddieharrington43422 жыл бұрын
Cockney means an inability to speak English...drop your final "r", mispronounce l/ll as "w", "th" as "f", final t as a so-called glotal stop (lmfao) and dropping the aspiration of "h" left, right and centre. Did Murray really go to Oxford? Oxford failed him.

Leo reacting to British standup comedy? more please! To use the proverbial "that's one hell of a rabbit hole" is almost an understatement, the US has some great standup comedians but less than a handful can stand tall next to a British standup comedian, they operate and a whole different level. It's often very dry witty humor, self degrading even, and it ranges from family friendly all the way up to "What the actual F did he just say?!" (the last will be extremely dark and extremely funny!) So yes, go for it, explore more British comedians, for some you might need a translator at first tho ;) (heavy accents) To list a few options for you : Bill Bailey (family friendly comedian/musician) Billy Connolly (naughty family friendly story teller comedian) Sean Lock (very naughty, not so family friendly, very dry and dark humor) Jimmy Carr (dark as night humor, rude af, weirdest laugh around, extremely funny) Ricky Gervais (dark, doesnt give a flying rat's a** about pc culture) Franky Boyle (illegal lovechild of Jimmy, Ricky and Sean.. says enough) Rowan Atkinson (ruder than you'd expect from "Mr. Bean", very visually oriented, really funny) There are loads more, this is "just a starter list" to get you on your path ;) Enjoy exploring British comedy Leo :D
