@@abdelgadiribrahim3158 yes I’m doing fantastic thank you. I’m far healthier now than I was pre-diagnosis. I didn’t have any symptoms whatsoever, which is what shook me the most when I had my diagnosis. I went for a routine blood test and was told I was hiv positive. I believe I was positive for around 12 months or so before I found out. Luckily id only slept with two people during this time and used protection both times, though of course I contacted them to let them know. I thought my life was over when I had my diagnosis but i realise now that in a weird way it was actually the start of my new life, which is far happier, healthier snd fulfilling than my teens and early 20s. I’m currently undetectable and have to take one pill a day. If you are worried or have any concerns about ur status regarding hiv I urge you to go get a test done as it’ll ease your mind immensely. I'm glad I'm not the only one whose been in that situation before. I honestly JUST went through this exact situation AND scenario and was having a hard time. Prep is available to protect yourself from getting hiv. And condoms are always an option. In the same breathe it was shady what he did but it's your body and you have control of what you participate in. The gay community (not saying all) is very "wreckless" by going bareback. There is something wrong that sounds and feels so good about not using condom...... But your takong a huge risk. And to be honest some ppl don't even know Thier status. If you did find him or could find his profile, would you file charges against him? I'm not sure what the laws are in Texas, but not disclosing your status is an offense in many states. If you did want to pursue anything, I would think that Grindr would have access to that data on the backend of their app and they could see who you've contacted or been blocked by. I work for a different app company and we can see those things. If anything, I feel like they'd need a police report or something. I'm not sure if this is the route you are interested in, but based on his actions, I feel like he knew and it's extremely awful that a person is knowingly infecting others.

Nappyboi The older guy didnt pray on him. This young man made a conscious decision to meet up with a guy he barely knew and engage in unprotected sex. Part of learning and growing from past experiences is taking accountability for your own actions and not blaming others. Was the other guy wrong for not disclosing his status? Yes. But in the same token, this young man shouldn't have placed himself in that situation to begin with. I was diagnosed with genital herpes 3 years ago. I engaged in protected sex but the condom broke on me. The very next day I experienced a major outbreak. I was misdiagnosed 3 times before I finally got diagnosed correctly. Although I used protection, I still hold myself accountable for my actions. Sex with anyone poses a risk more so even a stranger. The only way to prevent oneself from not risking transmission is pure abstinence.
