My son was 19 when he found out. It was 5 months after my mom passed and that news broke my heart. He’s always sick with small stuff but I have to always go get him from school. He’s being very positive and we sometimes even forget that he has it. But when I’m reminded, I cry for him and I miss my mom even more. Thanks for sharing your story and I will be watching. It most certainly does have the same exact power if not more than it did 20 years ago. The only thing keeping these people alive is a cocktail of pills that they have to take everyday. If there is an interruption in the supply chain of those drugs or the person doesn't take them they will suffer the same exact grisly death as the ones before them in the 1980's and 1990's

Kam, I have nothing but love for you right now! You are not alone in this as I was diagnosed with HIV as well this past April. I’m 24 and undetectable. Healthy. It’s the best feeling ever. This all about taking away the stigma of what HIV is in this day and time. Medical research and treatment has come a LONG way since back in the day. And guess what? I have a boyfriend of a year and a couple months. He is negative, but he stayed with me and was there when I was first diagnosed. I thought he would leave me, but he stayed.
