@@LukasOfTheLight I actually agree with you. I personally think College to Kids See Ghosts Is untouchable lol. I think Kanye started slipping with Jesus is King, Donda, and Ye (but he has some amazing songs on it as well). Not to mention that TCD, LR, Graduation, 808’s, MBDTF, Yeezus, Pablo, and Kids See Ghosts all sound so different from each other. To put anyone other than Kanye for Midwest is insane lol. But I left off Yeezus cause “hip hop heads” hate that album. I’ve never in my life seen a rapper 7-peat LOL. Then drop something okay like Ye, to then get one more final classic in with Kids See Ghosts lol. Which is one of the best collab albums ever. Not to mention he was going number 1 in every album. Lol. So he got the sales and critical acclaim on every classic album he made. Like that shit is unheard of. Only other dude I ever seen to do that Is Kendrick lol.

Kendrick has section 80, good kid maad city, both classics, to pimp a butterfly which most rap fans would argue is the best hip hop album ever (i disagree but that doesn't stop it from being known as one of the greatest ever made.) Damn which is also labeled a classic, plus put out a b sides album just as good as his a sides on untitled.unmastered, then went on to produce on of the best soundtrack albums ever in black panther. Plus he is still making music to this day with every verse dropped literally breaking the internet. Yes, hands down, Kendrick should be higher then pac at this point. West Coast: Ice Cube East Coast: its between Roots and Gang Starr, but if you include the Underground theres a couple more choices: Aesop Rock has a good discography. Jedi Mind and Atmosphere have incredible longevity and keep dropping albums especially Vinnie Paz whos also involved with other projects like AOTP. But its really between Doom and El-P. Doom actually started in the 90s and both KMD albums were solid. Then from 99 and on he has at least 5 classics. The thing with El-P is that he is also involved in milestone albums like funcrusher plus. then he produced cannibal ox and the very next year he comes out with fantastic damage. then he has 2 solo albums which didnt make a lot of noise but werent arguably bad either. Then he outdoes himsels once again: he produces an excellent Killer Mike solo album and then teams up with him to create one of the best hip hop duos with a very unique style that no one had so far. So i would go with Gang Starr for the golden era/90s and El-P for underground. Someone worth mentioning is also Masta Ace which for me has a very strong Discography and he has the best longevity hands down, cuz hes been around from the late 80s and still is relevant to this day.

Interesting that the convo became about slippage or who has the most immaculate discography. If an artist has 6 classics and a few bad albums is his discography really ‘worse’ than another artist with 4 classics and no other albums?

@@verbage432 I didn't dispute Kanye's influence nor how great College Dropout, LR, Graduation and MDTF are.. Discography wise, Kanye's high are really high and his lows are very low.. Since, DEHH spoke about "slippage".. I can't see how Kanye has the best discography in the Midwest. Similar, I couldn't agree with anyone who says Jay-Z or Nas because of "slippage". Unless the criteria for Discography includes more groups to judge the albums then it can't be Ye.. It should rather be Lupe...
