One thing you could do for contamination is lift up the two bad water pumps on platforms and put irrigation barriers under them. Would save a little space (and you could line up the pumps as well instead of having them offset)

6:29 these irrigation barriers where there to prevent the badwater to spread via the back of the reservoir to the farms. To prevent this and keep the reservoir clear for the flywheels. You need to place 2 irrigation barriers from the corner of the reservoir to the edge of the map. Thereby continuing the line of irrigation barriers in the reservoir and preventing the badwater spread.

I think the way contamination works is that it goes down any distance, but has issues going up. So you probably want to look at the highest source of contamination first and then head down.

If the plan is to continue to allow bad water to travel around the aqueduct, make sure intake system for the future 'underground pipe' can handle the extra volume during a bad tide.

With regard to the irrigation barriers, Alistair Raven did a nice demo on that (How To Block Contamination and Irrigate Land). Instead of using barrier tiles, you can instead use dynamite to blow away the banks of the river and then replace them with levees. If you do that, you'll only get 1 tile of contamination beyond the levee. If you go deeper and have the next level under that be replaced too, the badwater now has to rise 2 levels, and it just doesn't. There's no contamination. Nice little trick, really.

Have you considered filtering the good and bad water from the overpass and creating a stacked river? A 5x5 platform at the end of the overhang with sluices could be an interesting addition between the two waterfalls. You could even build the repopulator on top of it later on... and also point it at the apt complex if you wanted ;)

Seems to me that all you actually need for the badwater pumps is for them to be able to get their straw down into the badwater. So you could start at the very end of the badwater river, where it flows off the map, and leave a couple of 1x1 gaps for the badwater pump straws and just place the badwater pumps directly onto the impermeable floors that are covering the river. That way, you don't lose any land to the pumps.

10:22 to make sure that you have power even during a drought you should instead of piping the bad water source under the water wheels pipe it up and into the main channel feed and then just have a sluice gate that opens at a certain depth on the other side that sends it as like a diverter what type of thing that way you're not overflowing during normal seasons on the water wheels 😊

contamination bleeds down, but barely goes up... so for your buried badwater bypass.. if you slap down a scaffold , put a waterproofing on top.. it wont contaminate anything.. but that system is for a pressurized buried line :D oh!!!! maybe it might be time to drop to 16h days??? it'll give them more goof off time :D

6:49 if you were to replace that back wall with Levees instead of having an actual dirt you would be able to remove all of those irrigation barriers as well as push back all the flywheels by one block😊 you'll enable the berries all the way to be grown and not be hindered by contaminated😊

Why don't you put the horizontal junction underneath the flywheel? That way you can stay connected to it even when building new ones on top. -- eh, on top works too. Please turn the engines off during the wet seaon, otherwise they just waste logs (well, not so bad now that you have a flywheel) -- 21:00 yay. 28:00 I think you need to put irrigation barriers behind the upper waterfall too. The path needs to be raised up on platforms to allow them to be placed. I think you could also raise the badwater pumps onto platforms so that you can put irrigation barriers under the badwater pumps too.

This is a rip out and redo request @20:37: Maybe dont lol. Hear this out though, your highest point, visually was the statues on the top of the housing. They were centred and took up the right amount of space. This new design looks too cluttered. I feel you place any paired statues near each other as a means to welcome someone into a community (like the head of a river or a path, being guardians for the community). However that these are so close and fighting for importance with other features existing features. That we are talking about being too cheesy. The AOE of this particular statue is large enough that two can be placed along the river and cover your entire map. Why fight the aesthetics. Rather work with the architecture!

Or they could be placed on top of the two large tanks at the sides of the house complex... They would seem way less cluttered in that position.
