I’d say Zen and Rei are actually pretty good, they have access to all the elemental attacks and can offer really good support. I think later on rei can even replenish everyone’s sp by walking

I personally found Zen and Rei rather useful on my first go. Mostly because of the elemental coverage on top of decent row buffs and heals.

Ok What I did was the following Front row Kanji for pure physical strength and link skills (bestial roar fixes his speed issue) Yu for link skills and buffs Agis for defense and also strong Phys damage Back row Minato Magic with ice persona and bind skills Naoto who I made useful in boss fights by giving her a healing sub persona on top of impure reach panic circle

hehe ken was pretty useful to me in battles. if naoto missed with her insta kills, i at least used his hama to finish the battle. had salome's kiss, binding hands, and all the circles on him. while naoto was my tentarafoo and poison circle user

Kick Mitsuru and zen/rei off your team and put the p3 mc in the back and move Aigis to the front. Really replace zen and rei and Mitsuru with really any one else

Koromaru + Alice + impure reach = most random battles end instantly. Slap mahamon on him for the stuff that's immune to dark and you're set. For bosses he's still useful to set up/maintain binds, too.

probably wouldn't have been able to to beat the game without Zen and Rei lol. sure their attacks absolutely suck end game (except for soul slice maybe?) but the buffs they can give out are insanely useful.

Late comment but due to only 2 navigators in a game which actually wants you to have one for battle and other for dungeons you don’t need to tier them for q other than have fuuka for battles and rise dungeons, in q2 they added futaba in the mix which does have you end up never using one of them

Honestly the only reason I would put Minato as a high tier instead of a God tier is because of his weakness to Dark instant kill skills. This makes any playthrough of Persona Q picking the Persona 3 side and playing on Risky mode an absolute headache since have your main character die is an instant game over. And while Yu becomes even better once he gets his Ultimate Persona gaining a bunch of resistances Minatos Ultimate Persona still has that glaring Darkness weakness. Also I haven't used Aigis since my second playthrough of the game since she really is that broken. I didn't bother using her for Persona Q2 for the same reason.

In q2 she is pretty strong but not broken instead she serves as being the best tanks to use however it’s really either her or kanji and it’s subjective if you want the tank to get a hit in or just purely tank hits

They are surprisingly pretty good not great by any means but their strength is their utility in offering both respectable damage and support but lack in the versatility since they only do those 2 things so even in healing category they surpass yukiko and yukari and and not completely hindered by SP costs since it recovers as you traverse the dungeons but of course they are over shadowed if you spend any ammount of time doing persona fusions

Considering that you can customize characters with skills I dont get your point with Ken. Yeah luck is broken and I can just give him the skills he needs to make use of it. He is a god when it comes to inflicting status effects and not even the Velvet siblings are immun to that. Ken carried me through risky.

None of the enemies in you in wonderland are weak to light and some enemies in the date cafe even resist it. Not to mention Hama costs 16 SP which ken starting with 32 SP. He isn’t good at the start of the game and is only okay at the middle and end. You have to put in work in order for him to be good when most other characters are.

@@notafbiagent473 He is pretty awsome from the groupe date cafe onwards. Starting from the groupe date cafe I can slaughter almost every FOE I come across. And that trend countinues through the entire game all the way to the reaper. Ken is my most overpowert partymember. And I dont even have to put in much effort. I just keep him in the party and give him the right skills. I dont have to grind much. I just have to make proper use of the Velvet room. I guess I get overleveld simply by beating the enemies a long the way if those enemies include FOEs. They give a decent amount of exp. But its thanks to Ken I can do that in the first place.

@@notafbiagent473 Every characters in the game don't reach even 20% of their potential in the begining of the game, it's something that everyone has to deal with, and sub personas can give a good amount of HP/SP bonus. Ken is pretty good in Group Date Cafe, he quickly learn Hamaon and you can get Incubus Ailment boosting skill (instant kill are considered as ailment skills). That makes Ken a sniper : one move, one kill. It also improve Ken ability to inflict status. Supports skills are the easiest to get compared to other skills, you absolutly don't have to put much effort in Ken to make him goob, he is already great. Finally, why do you care about how much effort you have to put in order to make a character good ? If it makes it incredible, then go for it. I don't get why Naoto is considered god whereas Ken is considered bad. Differences between them are tiny. This is the same archetype. You have so much freedom to customize your character that I don't get why people use the fact that Naoto learn Ma-Hamaon/Mudoon to consider her better that him whereas it is more difficult to improve stats. Since Ken has better Agility and Luck compared to Naoto, if you are objective, if Naoto is considered to be God-like then Ken shoud be considered to be an even better God-like character.

Pretty much naoto due to having both light and dark makes for a better tool kit along with not having to worry about reflect gives her an edge of Ken as with impure reach affecting ailments including instant kill people also have the character act as a binder at the same time and with naoto you have more freedom in the sub to get the binds unlike Ken where you have to find a way to get dark in Order to reach naoto’s level

First time I played this, I just went with my favorite characters. Those being Yu my MC, Minato, Chie my best girl, Naoto my second best girl, and Aigis my robo waifu. I had no care for their stats cause I knew from their vanilla games that they were good

id argue that all mages except naoto is low tier/shit tier, as hp restoring items are plentiful in this game and because the game has elemental physical attacks there in no need to use mages in at all besides healing. nato is the only mage who is fast enough/lucky enough to use stat debuffs and instakill enemies all she needs is a healing sub persona. and magic also cant crit making its damage overall lower than any physical unit. most people strategy is 4 physical units and naoto to quickly go through dungeons/bosses with no issue. This game treats magic units horribly and elemental phys damage should have been nerfed cause it makes almost every magic unit near useless. and naoto with any chain/status ability make this game a joke. sorry about the long comment but i feel like you gave the mages too much credit(which wasn't much but that just shows how bad they are)

Can someone please fucking explain this game battle mechanics to me? I fucking beat it... after 100 hours. But every single battle with a Boss or FOE I had lasted like 20 turns, with me just chipping away at the enemy by doing little damage, consistenly. I've seen a video here on YT of someone doing THOUSANDS of damage from a single attack. I just don't fucking get it. How? My characters are currently at level 92 and they deal shit damage to even enemies from the first labyrinth. The fuck's wrong with the game?!?!?!?!?!?! I used Aigis since the very first battle, and I have never seen her do damage higher than 2500 but that was in Orgia mode and a crit (and probably Dragon Cry). That still NOTHING, consider bosses have 10k HP and Orgia only lasts 2 turns, plus she's gone after that. I don't get it. Please, someone tell me how the FUCK can you deal damage in the thousands, consistently.
