You will love Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off. The song and the video are hilarious!! Also, his debut single is a very beautiful and touching song called The Impossible and I’m pretty sure he wrote the song after his dad passed away. He has a true country voice and many good songs. I met him in my uncle’s club in Nashville in the early 2000s when he first started his career. He used to come in there frequently before he blew up. He was a lot of fun to be around and seemed like a great guy. My uncle used to joke with him and tell him he looked too much like a Calvin Klein model to be a country music singer 😂

Songwriting is a industry in Nashville. People are signed for writing deals and it’s a full time job. They come to “the office” and write songs all day. When MTV bought CMT in the early 2000s, they wanted to remove the songwriter label on all of the videos. It was 1) song title 2) performing artist 3) songwriter(s) 4) music label. There was a big dust-up and the songwriters won. My second cousin is a huge country hit maker and the royalty checks she gets are crazy big.

I saw Joe Nichols when he was on tour with Toby Keith at Red Rocks. This guy next to me was with some of his friends and I hear him say "Joe Nichols is HOT", then I hear "wait, what did say?" We all laughed with him. It was a great show. So glad you are discovering the best of country. I love having my own memories renewed too.

I'm 60 now and 1 my all time favs, "Skip a rope" can't remember that guy, one of mom's favorite. Ronnie Milsap's, lost in the 50's, was patents song to each other, I watched dad sing that to mom behind the wall, I am a blessed daughter!
