I had to search for the alternate melody for Who is on the Lord’s Side? to find this wonderful video! This was always the melody we sang it to in our small gathering of saints many years ago. I knew when I heard the other melodies that they were not it. Hallelujah! Thank you so much for recording this! Now I can remember the tune and sing it! God bless you, sir!

Great tune! Is there any other tune to the same hymn?

Yes, the more commonly-known hymn tune for this work is “Armageddon.”

We sang this great hymn with the Rachie tune every Sunday afternoon at Hampden DuBose Academy in Zellwood, Florida as our Sunday afternoon versper services began. The students would march in to this great hymn, singing as they made their way to the platform, filling the risers with the student body, making a choir of anywhere from 100 to 250 students! This hymn and tune was part of the Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship hymnbook years ago!

I really appreciate you posting this. I have this song to this tune on an old album from the 70's. Haven't heard it anywhere else til now. I personally like this tune better than the common one. God bless.

Thankyou for including my No 1 hymn tune, it is so rarely heard. I use it as a test piece, when trying out a "new" organ.

At least Armageddon doesn't go to a Welsh rugby song. John Goss thought it was worth arranging. Hideous indeed, pah! We should be so lucky as to sing either in the present age.
