Is that why out of every villain the main characters have fought in tvd, the only one that actually wins in the end is Kai? Elena turns to a vamp leaving Klaus without her doppelgänger blood to create hybrids anymore. Not to mention the first time around, John helped Elena escape death for the hybrid spell resulting in Klaus having to need her blood in the first place to get what he wants? Yet he’s the smartest? Come back when he psychologically torments you by tying your girlfriend’s life to your best friend hurting all 3 of you & everyone that cared. Also when he kills an entire coven as he planned his whole life in a prison world too. That’s right. Klaus never won anything. Only Kai won against the main characters which is why he’s easily the best & smartest character in the entire series.

Damon and Klaus’s interaction is so iconic, considering how similar they are. When Damon said “oh honey I’ve been called worse,” it made me laugh so hard. It's one of my favorite lines from Damon, and there's way too many. Damon is so fearless to stand up to klaus who is stronger than him, that’s why he’s one of my favorite characters. he does not take crap from anybody, no matter how much the odds are stacked against him. I also feel so bad for Rebekah for getting killed by her brother, simply because she didn't want to run anymore. 90 whole years man, Klaus is so wild for that.

Katherine wasnt working with the chicago pd. She was checking in on stefan, as she'd been doing throughout the years. In season 2 when her, damon and stefan were trapped in the room at the lockwoods she told them "in 1987 you were in chicago, at a concert of all places, with that wench Lexi. Dont be surprised Stefan, of course I checked in on you over the years".

17:08 that line is so powerful. Klaus saw him as a replacement for Elijah. What did he do last season? Daggered Elijah & got Stefan to become his rippah again. We see how controlling he truly is towards his family. Any time they do something that makes him mad or any time they leave him or try to live their own lives, he daggers them.

REBEKAH!!! Fun fact: Claire Holt who plays her is Australian and was on the mermaid show H2O: Just Add Water. She's also appeared in Pretty Little Liars and starred alongside Mandy Moore in the shark thriller 47 Meters Down. Poor Caroline 💔 I never realised the allegory for conversion therapy with her and her dad. Makes you think the writers did it on purpose to have the only gay character do that.

1:40 I love how happy Zuff is when he talks about delena, it always makes me smile. It was so sweet when Elena woke up next to Damon’s chest. When Damon said, “I’m shocked. Stefan’s not a virgin?” Has me gone every time. Damon and Elena’s banter and dynamic is the best part about the show. their moments are so sweet, I love them. I also loved how concerned Damon was for Elena, even though he was tortured by klaus the whole night. I also commend that at least damon and Elena tried to rescue Stefan, even though it was futile because of how powerful Klaus is. this is also where Stefan and Elena officially break up. I love your reactions! can't wait for more.

Katherine was on the run from Klaus, but she didn't want to be on the run forever so she would have been looking for a way to either get out of her predicament, or a way to end Klaus. The fact that somebody with wooden bullets was after Klaus and he was afraid enough to go on the run, that would have been enough for Katherine to realize maybe there's a way to stop Klaus so she probably stayed hidden but close by to find a weakness

Katherine is in Chicago to keep an eye on Stefan (which she loves) and Klaus (who might want her dead). Her state of mind is probably that it's easier to keep an eye on someone who wants to kill you than run away and not knowing when that person will suddendly reappear and try to kill you. She is definitely "afraid" of Klaus killing her, this wasn't play-pretend, but Katherine also plays smart! ;)
