The KZbin trailer for Master! has the Daleks led by a black and silver version of the red and gold Time War Supreme from The Stolen Earth / Journey's End. Given that the Supreme is also described as "the Black Dalek" in that set it’s fair to assume that design choice was intentional. The Dalek Parliament being involved is interesting though, I hadn’t previously thought of the Dalek stuff in Master! being set post-Time War due to it seeming to occur not long after the Master's trial from The TV Movie. But I suppose in a timey-wimey sense it’s possible.

A deserved favorite Dalek for many! One thing you didn't mention is that Mila escaped the Daleks during The Chase, meaning that the Time Controller might have been responsible for the Daleks' time travel capabilities in that story and targeted the 1st Doctor in an effort to erase his influence on the Dalek timeline

I had no idea that this guy was the Dalek Litigator! Hope I'm spelling that right... What I love about the Time Controller, outside of the other things you mentioned regarding its autonomy and personality(An uncommon treat & outlier among Daleks), is its design. Purple and Gold are considered regal as colors, and it fits said personality. The time controllers history is strange but it’s a little more linear then u might think. I personally think that the time controller was part of the paradigm as they were more advanced than the pre time war daleks. I also think the time controller used the guise of the dalek litigator to interfere with things like the masters trial as to preserve history. I also think despite the daleks on the cover of patient zero being classic daleks that these daleks are post time war daleks far in the future

Is Terror Firma, Blood of the Daleks and Dark Eyes the build up to the Time War?

They take place in the era immediately preceding the Time War, but there's a lot of audios that come after these ones that also predate the Time War (Doom Coalition, Ravenous, Stranded and the new Eighth Doctor box sets) but there have been a few hints that the Eighth Doctor audios are leading up to the Time War, the most recent series has shown the Doctor encountering bronze Time War Daleks for the first time (from his POV) and eventually the ongoing Eighth Doctor series will presumably link up with the Eighth Doctor: Time War audios to make one long continuous story, but that likely won't happen for many years

Ooh, you're in for a treat! LM/TTD is fantastic, and the Dark Eyes series was a turning point for Big Finish, a true 16-parr epic. Paul McGann is fantastic as always and there are some great scenes with him and the Alex Macqueen Master, and also him and the Time Controller

im actually curioous about what exactly can the time controller do besides all of the standard dalek abilites. Like i get they explain he has temporal sensitivity but they mention his manipulating the timlines and i dont recall if they ever elaborated on what that meant or if he has any other unique powers?
