***** You should really read what people say before calling them a dumbass. As I said, this was the ORIGINAL plan (by the writer.) The idea being that since Mystique is a shapeshifter, she could be either gender. (DC has occasionally played with the same idea with Martian Manhunter, gender being a choice for their species.) The Marvel editors nixed the idea and Mystique was instead revealed as his mother. Nightcrawler first appeared in 1975. Mystique was revealed as his mother in a retcon (to which the writer had been hinting) in X-Men Unlimited #4, released 1994. Azazel wasn't even created until 2003 (and apparently for the purpose of being Nightcrawler's father.) If you check Nightcrawler's Wikipedia page, the fact about Mystique being intended as his father is the first thing mentioned under the "Family Relations" heading. (Also of interest is the fact that his creator originally intended him to be a Legion of Superheroes character, but DC rejected it. According to a friend back in high school, he was supposed to be the son of the devil, so the Azazel thing does come full circle a bit since Azazel is one of the different versions of Satan in the Marvel Universe.) All that said, some people are probably wondering how this relates to the video. It almost doesn't, except that somebody brought up Mystique and I thought the idea of her as the father was funny given Nightcrawler's behind-the-comic history. Also, he, like Wanda and Pietro, has been doinked with some on who his parents are. Seriously, do paternity tests not exist in the Marvel Universe?

The recent retcon of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch is ridiculous. Of course, it was only done because of the MCU and it won't last. Years from now, Marvel will realise their mistake and we all know that there will be another retcon that re-establishes that they are the children of Magneto.

Ugh, retconning. I already don't like retconning, but I understand there are times when companies have good reasons to do it. This is not one of those times. Making it so the comics match the movies instead of vice versa is not okay in my book. When you do this, you favor the movie audience who will most likely not read the comics anyway. You're practically punishing the comic audience by taking something that is well known canonically and changing it like that.

I hope if Marvel in the future gets the Rights to x men back that they will make magneto the father of the MCU established scarlet witch and quicksilver. Despite the age of Ultron origin, where the mind Stone gave them their enhanced abilities, they could just explain it away by saying the Stone actually didn't give them their powers, but simple just activated them, which also would explain why they were the only volenteers that succeded. Anyway they would have to reboot the x men franchise if such a deal became reality.

I honestly don't think Marvel will touch on who their father is, at least not in Age Of Ultron. I think Marvel honestly haven't decided and it would be a nice mystery to explore in a later film. Kind of like what Sony was trying to do with TASM films and Peter's parents. I heard they are going to be referred to as "Inhumans" because of the whole legal thing. Whether that means an Inhuman is their father/mother is up in the air. I'm very curious to see where this goes though. Who knows, they might even pull a fast one on us and say Red Skull is their father... why? well Hugo Weaving does have it in his contract to where he is supposed to appear in another Marvel film and at the end of Cap 2 we see the brother and sister duo as experiments... perhaps test tube children? I can almost guarantee that the new continuity will not place Magneto as the father though.

I prefer Mags being their dad. It connects Marvel's two biggest universal properties Avengers & X-men. I always found them being mutants in the Avengers a bit odd, but it really didn't matter much. Polaris being the twins' half sis was kind of cool. But as long as Polaris remains Mags' daughter, then I'm cool with that. I think the High Evolutionary being their "creator"/ dad would be ok. Them being "test tube babies" would be a bit anti-climatic, much like the Stepford Cuckoos. But I'd be curious to know who the genetic material came from. And who then be their "parents"? I say the Inhmans Blackbolt & Medusa would be interesting genetic donors.

bowmanruto None of my smoking friends friend has a problem getting weed. if you're 18+ and there is a coffeeshop in your city. you can get weed. the only problem we have here is that the coffeeshops itself arent aloud to buy weed. it actually makes sense sort of. the only explanation wanda gave of her husband was that he was someone who'd torture her for the location of their child. now, i can see magneto torturing a nurse for the info, but his wife? Technically it's possible to have twins of two different fathers.It's called superfecundation. So Wanda could be Logan's daughter and Pietro can be Magnus' son.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were born from Natalya Maximoff(The first Scarlet Witch). The High Evolutionary with the help of a priest stole the children from her. Natalya fought back strongly but died trying to get her children back. After the High Evolutionary evolved "mutated" the twins he was so impressed by Natalya's power and bravery that he decided to give the twins to the relatives of Natalya. Django and Maryna Maximoff. The twins were evolved just enough to pass off as mutants. The High Evolutionary manipulated their lives from the beginning and Magneto was just a random pawn. Besides, most mutant children have the powers or attributes of their parents/relatives (not always the case) that Wanda and Pietro didn't have with Magneto. For example: (Nightcrawler=Azazel's power & Mystique's skin color) (Siren=Banshee's power) (Polaris=Magneto's power) (Wiccan/Speed=Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver(Related genetically) (Daken=Wolverines powers) Northstar=Aurora(Siblings) And many other mutants(especially in future timelines) that I don't feel like getting into.

It's ridiculous that Magneto is the father of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. All related mutants should have similar powers. Quicksilver is fast, so should be the son of someone fast, like Whizzer. I don't know what abilities, if any, Miss America had.

Hey Scott, do you know what Magneto's real name is? In the movies they always call him erik lensher, but in the animated series they call him magnus. A video about this would really clear things up :P
