I think Uraume and Sukuna's relationship is more like a shark (Sukuna) and a fish cleaner (Uraume), the Shark will protect and respect the cleaner as long as the fish does what he wants (since it pleases him), and the fish will benefit in the way that they'll be with Sukuna or something.

i feel like yuji's techniques to do with the soul come from an innate understanding by being a vessel for sukuna but also due to his origin. kenjaku had sealed a finger in yuji during birth and the finger is essentially a soul fragment of sukuna which could also contribute to why yuji's able to manipulate the soul like he does.

Yeah. I am genuinely curious on what Shoko and co are up to. There is a very clearly a very strong recovery plan going on here that indicates to me at least that up to this point, despite all the set backs, everything is happening according to a plan. The simple thing is everyone who isn't dead and hasn't mastered RTC will get to step back in at some point. Interesting to see that Maki is still going though; apparently Sukuna's punches don't hurt her that bad, or that she's nipping away to recover between engagements. In regards to Nobara. I think she's either dead, or is in a state that would make death unenviable. The way Megami and Yuji talked *around* the issue is typical of boys in denial, and they don't address her with some of the more senior shamans who are more experienced with loss and accept it as a occupational hazard. The main reason her being alive is ambiguous was one statement that was clearly made to make Yuji put aside his grief to help put Mahito down, and unfortunately due to the Zenin clan was immediately made into a outlaw meaning follow-up was impossible. Either way, the anime makes an even better case for it showing her dead eye and the sheer amount of damage Mahito so casually dealt her. He could've blown her head off, but he wanted Yuji to *see this*. I feel if she was intended to return we would've already seen it, as was the case with Maki who was gravely wounded, but had survived by Jogo just not taking her seriously. Kinda makes sense why Miguel flaked though. He is a incredibly talented combatant, but instant hit domains pretty much hard counter him. While he is strong, he doesn't seem to bring anything else to the table that Maki (who is confirmed to be still fine. Apparently Sukuna's punches don't hit that hard) or Yuji already bring, and better.

I think Uraume was a Higuruma-type character at first which interested Sukuna. They then supplied Sukuna with a fresh batch of humans every day, which made them a servant/cook for Sukuna.

Look I’m on board with all the current manga developments. It’s all hype so I’m in. But I can’t help but feel like all these flash backs during the fight are amounting to the same trope as heist movies where it’s just exposition as the story unfolds and by the end you realize there was nothing left to chance and the stakes where never there . Any thoughts on this style? Again, I’m here for all these developments, but it feels like it could also be Gege making up for lost time and injecting exposition to fill in gaps in the story. Love the the vids man keep it up.

I think it's interesting view, but I think it's also an intentional pacing choice. Like, Gojo came back and Sukuna is finally unleashed on the world. Gege likely implied a lot of the training through snipits, but he also didn't want to lose the momentum that he had built up through the slow burn of the culling games (Showing the perspective of each of our protag and introducing Sharmans that might/might not feature greatly.) only to hit the accelerator with Sukuna using that minute to change vessel. It would've been nice to see interactions, but from a story perspective it made sense to dive into the big ticket event now that the entire community was like "oh wow, the final battle is coming!" , and dabble bits of training as flashbacks to preserve that forward momentum. I feel that spending several chapters to address that would've been a bit of a buzzkill, and speculation drives sales. Like if we knew what Yuji could do going into this, we wouldn't be as excited to see him finally bust out his combos. Personally, I would like the anime to do something a little different. Actually showing some of the conversations that just wouldn't be time productive to draw out, perhaps a training arc. But I feel the manga made the right choice to decide to push on.

I've been thinking for a while that Yujis whole "soul swap" thing is actually the same soul splitting cursed object creation ability that Kenjaku and Sukuna know how to do... Remember when Sukuna berated Yuji for not figuring out RCT just by observing him when he did it? As Angel stated, Sukuna seems to be able to learn by just seeing things once, and Yuji might also have a similar talent when he really applies himself, as Gojo commented when he was teaching him the jujutsu basics. So I think that came back around when Suki transferred to Megumi's body. Yuji's ability to perceive the soul, plus the natural talent for jujutsu that he may have inherited from having a bit of Sakura's body and soul mixed with his, allowed him to observe when Suki split his soul into his finger to feed to Megumi If Eugene really did figure it out, it's possible (as grody as it sounds) that he created cursed object fingers or whatever with his own or the other's souls, to ingest and temporarily take over each other's bodies.Or something simmilar It also fits thematically with Yuji being able to be a culmination of all of his friend's experiences and wisdom and share his in return since they gain each other's memories and knowledge when they switch bodies, vs Sukuna who also is associated with consumption, but does so in a way that is completely selfish and where the other person gains nothing in return

Would you think that the Soul Swap from Yuji is a domain expansion after effect? Kinda like Hakari’s jackpot? Since Yuji can punch the soul that might be a characteristic of his curse technique. Edit: I just thought of something that the reason he hasn’t done the domain expansion is possibly a way for him to trap Sukuna in his body, then kill himself. Since I really believe Yuji will die in the end of the series.

There has been absolutely no evidence that Yuji has a domain expansion. It's possible he does, but it would seem weird that he still hasn't used it. The Executioner's Blade plan would've been much easier if Yuji could trap Sukuna in a barrier.

No hate here, been watching your videos for a while and noticed your pronunciations on Uraume and Sukuna sound a little off. If you're interested in learning the Japanese pronunciation, my best way of explaining it is that Sukuna is pronounced (S-Koo-Nah) this is because the su syllable is typically changed to just an s-sound. You can hear it in the formal particle, desu, which is typically just said as "des". Uraume is broken down in four syllables, U-Ra-U-Me, which sounds like (oo-rah-oo-meh). I've been learning the language for a while now and so the syllables come natural for me but I understand it's not necessarily intuitive for others. Great videos nonetheless! I love seeing your weekly analysis of the latest chapters (Gojo def coming back)

If you steal Gojo's body it won't be practical. He's no longer posseses six eyes if he dies and without it you will just fry your own brain with limitless.

a couple potential setups i noticed: megumi being able to do barrier less domains because of sukuna using his body with yuji definitely now a special grade, in terms of tone that really solidifies that gojo would come back as himself if he comes back at all imo

do you have a source? his body wasn't damaged that bad, he wasn't sliced into pieces or missing his head. He knows RCT to can heal himself somewhat. And UI UI got him out the battlefield so he's most likely chilling at base getting full healed by shoko. Kusakabe had similar injuries doesn't even know RCT and still survived, Higgy is fine

The people who did see it (UI UI and Kirara) risked their lives to get his body, we are just assuming they risked their life to grab a corpse for funsies? If Gege wanted Higuruma to be dead it wouldn't be so ambiguous with so little damage on his body
