Couldn't agree more. Objectively speaking, freewheelers surpasses other makers in many regards; however, it comes down to preference, hence vintage.

Yes exactly. My preference and my measurements mean that I prefer vintage now

Yes could be but unfortunately Freewheelers jackets are not available anymore..

hope alls well brotha 👊 i want to get a good quality leather jacket soon.. (if i could stop buying boots for once) hah, id just like 1 or 2 quality jackets.. i just have a burgundy sheepskin one. would be nice to get a Horween horse or Skinki jacket.. i just have no idea where to start. looked at Aero, Coranodo, i have no idea about leather jacket brands.. $1k would be my spending limits. my dad has an old Perfecto jacket but i can't find it anymore : /

Perfectos are great. I recommend the 613sh as it’s the classic rider design with a great horsehide.

If 1k is your limit, I would look at used jackets as well as Vanson. Those would be your best bets

What’s up Jake. Great video!Just wanted to chime in. I feel that everythng you said that makes Freewheelers great also applies to Freenote Cloth leather jackets… super high quality and unique leather selection, amazing patterns, super unique quality and tasteful liners and zippers buttons and designs, and very very high quality craftsmanship . From what they’ve said previously unless things have changed the leather jackets are made by one person who is obviously a master leather jacket maker. I’ve owned 3 and they’re pretty amazing. Cheers mate

Yeah I think they're very consistent with having that guy make their top end leather jackets

Hi Jake! What are your opinions on The Flat Head leather jackets?
@almostvintagestyle2 ай бұрын
They're pretty good, not perfect, snd they only fit certain people. They have wide shoulders and narrow bodies

Question about the Japanese jackets overrated statement. Do you feel that way specifically in the area of repros, or in general?

No I feel like it is overall

Hey Jake, what do you think of Goldtop?
@almostvintagestyle4 ай бұрын
Their styles Rent my preference, but I don't have any personal experience
@Jamesv133 ай бұрын
I have a goldtop bobber jacket and that leather is super thick. Seems good quality to me especially for the price. I bought it specifically for the motorcycle and it is definitely cut that way. My problem is that I can barely wear it cause it's so thick. I live in southern California and can only wear it during winter. I spoke to Tommy from butterscotch lbc and asked if he'd carry them and he said that right now their leather is a bit too inconsistent for him to carry, so that may tell you something.

I like leather jackets however I wear them less and less than I used to. I Started to get weirded out knowing that it's the skin of a dead animal, kinda like a killer who wears the skin of his victims.

It puts the lotion 🧴 on the skin
@albertmanuel50284 ай бұрын
Skins are by products of the meat industry. You’re helping to use all parts of the animal. They don’t kill cows or horses just for the skins.
@almostvintagestyle4 ай бұрын
We have leather because of the meat industry, so in a way it's actually better to use the skins rather than discard them, but I understand if you just don't like it
