Didn’t get a feel for the size of that iceberg until 12:53 in the video and that boat motored by it. It’s HUGE. Liked that single shot with the beam of pink light. that was worth getting up for. That cheese sandwich needs some mustard. Thanks Gavin.

My family, on my mother's side, are all from Newfoundland. I've been several times and love it there. During one of my childhood visits, an iceberg floated very close to shore not far from Catalina, where one of my aunts lived. An older cousin took me out on a small boat right up to the iceberg - probably not a wise idea, but very exciting. Aside from the spectacle of the berg, my most vivid memory was of how cold the area around it was. An amazing day.

I got to that iceberg just 30 minutes after it calved and the tall bit on the right was just in pieces in the water. Much brighter weather when I was there so got some good photos although not to your standard. Of course there is a video of it calving. There is always somebody ready. Not quite the same as Brighton in England!

Don’t know when you shot this… what year even; but that iceberg ice is the purest you’ll ever ever get. It was long before all the modern day, pollution and viruses, etc. etc. etc. were around and when you drop some in a drink the trapped air escapes. Do you realize how old this air is and how pure it is compared to the air today? Enjoy your iceberg ice. I have, 20 odd years ago and I am eighty seven now.

Gavin.......I would like some more warm-weather content. Hey wait; have you ever done warm-weather content? The ice guy had a good sense of humor. Always good to run into those people who have a dry, witty sense of humor. Maybe Newfoundland in the summer would make for some good content and certainly more enjoyable than it is here in Arizona.
