Except he fails to even cover all of the symbolism and the ultimate meaning of Baphomet as a whole. The symbol is of the reconciliation of opposites. He points to individual trees and fails to identify the name of the forest. He imposes a lot of his own ideas about what it means “its a path to enlightenment” “its alchemy”. Or...maybe it uses alchemic symbols to convey an idea the way an artist uses different elements to convey an idea in a story, painting, sculpture, etc. The symbols don’t matter and their previous associations don’t matter. It is the CORE CONCEPT that matters. But, I don’t expect people who can’t even identify the core concepts in their own sacred text to understand that about other works of art. Accurate? How can a thing be accurate when it is told from a place of personal bias?

In my personal opinion we as mortals have to acknowledge the possible reality that Baphomet is an actual existing ancient deity. To me what that means is not only must extreme caution be used in outreach to him in forms of ritual and seances and the left hand path but also not to allow emotion or desire weaken our mental fortitude. Too many people are being dangerously careless with how communication is handled when you are giving attention and energy to beings that are vastly more powerful and more intelligent than humans on a multitude of levels. Baphomet I have not personally met or spoken with so in respect to that truth I cannot put a label or speak on his behalf nor will I. There are so many beings and concepts that we aren't ready to understand it is foolish to treat these as something we believe we have any control over. I could be entirely wrong and can accept that because the truth is I don't know very much aside that treating those with respect is paramount for any encounter even if the situation feels extremely overwhelming. I gotta say I love how he passed no judgement and didn’t name call or try to reduce anyone to a label. I think the very end tied it all back together really nice and went back to what he said earlier about baphomet symbolizing what works for you and what doesn’t and all he said is what works for him and makes him happy. I was born into a Christian family but now I’m more of a polytheist and have recently become fascinated with the history of Baphomet. I walk away from this video feeling better about myself and I genuinely wish all Christians were like this man!

Baphomet was the invention of French Monarch Philip the IV, used to attack the Knights Templar who he owed a substantial amount of money to. The name Baphomet is a deformation of Mohammed; in other words the King was accusing his debtors of being secret Muslims. Thus were the Templars were falsely accused of all manner of heinous acts and persecuted. The image of 'Baphomet' varied. Forced confessions from Templars claimed that 'Baphomet' was a skull, a bearded face, a cat, etc. The traditional goat image came into being in the mid 1800's when French magician, Éliphas Lévi wrote his Dogme et rituel de la haute magie, using Baphomet as a symbol for the unification of all things. This of course didn't stop folks like Gabriel Antoine Jogand-Pagès, a French journalist from using the goat as a tool to attack others. In Gabriel's case, he was bitter at the Freemasons for outing him from their order, ergo he began a campaign to 'expose' the dark secrets of Freemasonry. The hullabaloo drew the interests of one Aleister Crowley who, liking the cut of Baphomet's jib, incorporated Baphomet into Thelema. TL;DR So what IS Baphomet? Merely an 800 year old French lie that has been blown out of proportion by overactive imaginations and people with enemies in need of crushing.

Regarding the phrase "as above, so below"...nowhere have I heard that phrase more than in the Christian church. Particularly from the fanatical evangelicals. Regarding the Baphomet, all that is is a fanciful drawing made by some random 19th century writer. It's based on a misinterpretation of an episode which happened to the Knights Templar, hundreds of years prior. They were probably using ancient relics in their meeting chambers (which was not uncommon) and were forced under TORTURE to admit they were worshiping them. All so someone else could get their hands on the wealth they accumulated (also common for Christian church organizations). I think it's funny Christians blame and fear the devil, when the greatest threat to Christianity is Atheism. Atheists throw all religions and all gods in the trash. That includes all angels, demons, devils, and imps. It's all fantasy. It's like believing in dragons and unicorns. And regarding the whole concept of good versus evil, Christians have a difficult time explaining Lucifer and the rebellion of the angels of heaven. Were they all "evil"? Did Lucifer have the same powers as God? If God is all powerful, why did he permit the rebellion? What was the rebellion really about? Why rebel in the first place if all is wonderful? If God is pure love, then explain why the Old Testament is full of vengeance while the New Testament is about forgiveness? One and the same god? Two different gods? Maybe Christianity is just another one of a long list of religions made up by man to explain lightning and the movement of the stars?

it's pretty interesting cause i didn't knew anything about baphomet and everything this awesome man is saying is 100% true and it amazes me how real this occult experiences and learnings are.
