They're tall I guess, but compared to most other dogs they're not very muscular. They're also almost entirely herbivorous as mentioned in the video, but even if they weren't, they're wild dogs and as such they will typically try and stay away from humans in general and will only bite if they feel cornered and threatened. They're incredibly shy and docile creatures, so in what world would they chase a human aside from if the human in question was the handler and they were playing?

@@xplosionslite6439 well, orcas aren't studied enough and that's not because we can't catch them or feed them in the pool. They're just don't feet into human-born environment and don't behave as they would in the wild. The dolphins are feeling fine tho, communicating with humans. Maybe this isn't an evidence by itself in terms of IQ, but in terms of general consciousness it should be an indication. Well, maybe as the time goes by, I'm gonna turn out to be mistaken.

@@ВасилийБлаженов-ж9е it kinda is something we can't judge because we can't easily keep them in captivity tbh, their size and migratory lifestyle (they can go weeks hunting whales) are on a different scale to dolphins. It's like if you were kept in a bathtub, wouldn't you get dull and apparently stupid? They play with their food just like smaller dolphins play, that's a sign of intelligence. They've also never had a fatal attack on humans and keep a wide berth of human ships, ever since we first began whale hunting, almost like they're passing this knowledge down from generation to generation.

@@ВасилийБлаженов-ж9е Orcas are larger dolphins and just as smart if not smarter. They are considered wolves of the see for a reason. For 1. Their cerebrum is large and have one of the largest brain to body ratio of any animal. Also there’s more grey matter per total volume in an orcas brain than that of a humans, which allows abstract thinking. More creases in their brains as well leading scientist to believe it’s more complex.

So about the mythical beast like tapirs: in Japan they're called Baku. Legend has it that after the gods finished creating all the other animals, they used the leftovers to create the Baku, a chimera of sorts (all I remember is elephant head sry). Despite it's monstrous appearance, it's actually considered a holy beast that's still popular today. They're loosely based off an old Chinese legend (cus China was the hot chick of the ancient world) where they ward off disease and evil spirits. However, the eating of bad dreams is exclusive to the Japanese Baku which they're best known for today. Interestingly enough, experts can't confirm which came first, the myth or the tapir. Some say it's a coincidence they look similar while others say travelers may have seen tapirs (but can't draw from memory apparently 😂). That said, the term Baku is now used to describe both the beast and the tapir.

That animal draft really gave team 4 an orca and an elephant, then turned around and gave team 5(which was 100% constructed after team 4) a bullfrog.

Since you're doing prehistoric animals you should look at Australia's megafuna, some of which coexisted with First Australians … you thought the stuff we have now was crazy! And props to the Aboriginals for living in the vicinity of these critters and possibly wiping them out, either through overhunting or using fire hunting and setting giant fires every season which changed the environment - and incidentally being the first known case of _"burn it, burn it with fire",_ a perfectly normal reaction upon seeing Australian wildlife. Some of the highlights; 2 metre tall carnivorous kangaroos, a 3 tonne Wombat, giant land going crocodiles, a tree dwelling marsupial lion, and my personal favorites; A giant terror bird over 2.5 metres tall called _"the Demon Duck of Doom"_ and a giant snake from the unique family Monty pythonoidis … aka the Monty Python. Australian paleontology only really took off after the invention of the Esky (Australian for beer cooler).🍻

1:01 I live in Belize, and in my area you don't see them often, but it wouldn't be strange for them to roam on the street side. They are known as Mountain Cows or Tapirs in Belize, and are commonly found in Belize (district). So yeah but wanted to give a little uh thingy. Edit: I realized some people might not know how to pronounce tapir. It is pronounced tap - as in like tap water, and ir as in ir. I really don't know what to tell you for that one, but yeah you can pronounce it which ever way you want i don't think it bothers people, but i just wanted to give the pronunciation we use here in Belize. :D

Ooh, a thing I learned about gelada baboons is the way they pull up grass, they fold in their fingers and grip clumps of grass with the segment of fingers closest to their palms, it's really easy to pull up a fairly large chunk of grass with the least amount of effort. I saw it on a nature show, and tried it while weeding in my vegetable garden and it actually works really well, so they got things fingured out.

The panda's actually one of the few species we can safely say we had no hand in decimating. When the Chinese started making fields out of bamboo forests, pandas had already had a foot in the grave since the end of the last glacial period, whereas before then they had been about as common in China as brown bears in pre-colonial North America, thanks to having evolved to exclusively eat the one thing a now extinct orangutan on steroids wouldn't touch if he had any other option.
