It has to be Dan. Not only is his peddling smooth but his hair has laminar flow as well. I think an aero helmet would slow him down.

Actually the turbulent flow gives you less resistance than laminar :P. That's why super-aero deep section carbon wheels have dimples on the rim surfaces, like on golf balls - to create turbulent flow more easily.

You guys have really hit your stride since I've been watching your videos over the past year. The chemistry amongst The Wig, Si-Borg and The Boss is great, and your distinct personalities and sensibilities have shone through to make these vids not only informative, but very entertaining as well. Keep up the great work, guys!

I swear when you guys get out of the saddle it's you can be compared to cars in races. Matt looks like a muscle car, like a brute when he sprints, Simon looks like a Tuner/drift car when he gets out of the saddle (might I add looks the coolest), and Dan looks like an exotic supercar, offering a balance of both worlds. Awesome!

I think the length of the power stroke is the most significant, so Si is the smoothest pedaling presenter. I would also argue that Si has the most "ingrained" natural smoothness, because attempting to be smooth ruined an otherwise smooth pedaling technique.

Simon 1st with that big power phase. But I wonder if he is increasing his power output by pulling up in the second 1/2 of the revolution? Some say that is a waste of effort because the muscle to lift up is weaker than the muscle in the opposite leg that pushes down. So it reduces torque and power. If you look back at the video they did on clipless pedals, they tested Simon and found that pulling up has little or no effect compared to pedalling naturally. That is backed up here where Si's attempts to pedal smoother had the opposite effect.
