What a powerful thing it is to learn of our ancient past. We are not misfits, We are everything we were supposed to be. Survivors in a world that seeks to cripple and contain us. I can see the wanderer and the warrior in myself.

I love the video. As an Orthodox Christian, I'd just like to say that the european pagan traditions of the past are generally well admired and studied within our circles. Orthodoxy considers itself a continuation of the wide Germanic pantheon. I can understand full heartedly the anger one feels with the Christian expansion. The world changed. Odin required a larger audience. Grace was introduced and the heavens opened to all of us who strive for it. If looked at through this lense, you can see why this unified Europe much more than anything else ever could. Wōden by blood, Khrīstós by faith.

Christianity is fatally compromised by it's reliance on spurious Hebrew history. How can the jealous and vengeful God of the Hebrews be compatable with the all-forgiving God of Love of the Christians? A examination of European history clearly shows how Christianity has failed us. Now so many live their lives in an atheistic stupour, lost without the God that, in effect, the fanatical, fearful Christians stole. I have been lucky since, through my Yogic and Artistic studies I have re-discovered the One Spiritual Truth that, indeed, does live in my blood and in the blood of all things.

The inverted cross as Odin. Wow that's mind blowing. All kinds of Christians today fear the inverted cross as evil. I think something deep down inside of them sees it as a return to paganism. Also the upside down cross represents a spear with the two flanges on either side to stop the spear going in too far into flesh. Just wow, I never realized that.

A few years ago before I knew anything about Odin, I often got visited in dream by a man I thought to be Jesus but may actually turn out to be Odin. I also often had dreams of that rock and that pagan forest I never knew existed until I saw your video. It is weird for me to have these dreams because I'm a Christian. But I've always prayed to Jesus to show me the truth. That was my only prayer. I never asked Jesus to give me a wife, more money, better job, better house like many other Christians do. It's ironic that Jesus might actually be Odin and granting me my prayers. I wouldn't be seeking these things if I never had those dreams.

Thank you, Thomas, I cannot tell you how great it is to hear our history described from a Pagan point of view. There was so much information here, from the Pagan connection with Hinduism to the replacement of Odin with Jesus/Zeus and the World Tree…amazing! - When we think of these destructive cults that rise up and wreck everything, aiming to leave no point but there own, it is deeply troubling and terrifies home just how vulnerable, even now, our access to history really is…maybe there was something in the whole ‘burry your artefacts’ idea?

Ireland was a very early in the history of Christianity. Even before the Norse came and conquered it. I think the monks were there from before Constantine and had fled Rome when Rome was still against Christianity. From I read, the Irish lived in huts that looked a bit like beehive from old cartoons, where the Monks built in stone mainly. One thing I know is that the monks were raiding each others buildings. There are over 30 accounts held by the Irish museum I heard (Source "Vikings" by Magnus Magnusson)

Ok so not only is Thomas the king of 'in the car chat' videos, he surpasses himself yet again with another stunningly produced and informative documentary. The best bit for me Thomas, is how your research knowledge so perfectly enhances/crosses over with my own. I always have a worry about Penda because for a start he is exclusively referred to in every academic source as 'The Pagan King Penda'. The constant use of this title and the fact that he is the only king referred to in this way leads me to believe that he was actually Christian and that the pagan reference is a deliberate deception. Added to this he was known for smashing up churches, but it should be pointed out that these particular churches were of a pre christian architecture which leads me to believe that Penda was the very person to which the pope was referring too when telling Augustine to 'deal with the british problem' by 'ceasing the destruction of their holy places, instead moving our altars and relics into their well built temples'. As this earlier architecture often heavily embodies vesica picis symbolism - an important part of pythagorean (druidic) thought, it was easy to associate these buildings with christianity through the fish shape. It seems that the entire christian church was built upon - stealing all of the buildings, festivals, monasteries, universities, government, art, statues, saints, heroes, saviours and symbols (not a complete list i'm sure) of the indigenous pagan world and called it their own. Of course this absolute lack of creativity and originality still shows up a lot our modern world, most obviously in song and movie rewrites, tv programmes about tv programmes, replacing important pagan festivals with 'remember the war' celebrations etc By the way - take a look a the round towered churches of Norfolk!

This reminds me of a story from the American west dealing with the conversion of (I believe) the Lakota Sioux. A minister had been trying to convert them for years with no success, until one day he left his Bible lying open. One of the tribe's wise men took one look at the pages, huddled with his council of tribal elders, and then announced they would convert to the new religion forthwith. It took ages to discover their reasoning, but it was this: the elders used to teach morality to the young by means of an dark eagle feather. The white shaft up the middle of the feather represented the path of righteousness, the black vanes leading off on either side of the feather represented the manifold ways of going wrong in life. The pages of the minister's Bible happened to be in two-column type - in other words, a white shaft up the middle and black lines leading off on either side. The elder assumed that anyone using this ancient symbol was familiar with the doctrine of the eagle feather, and was therefore preaching the path of righteousness. And so they converted.

It was quite the trick that the Church pulled turning Christ from a 1st century pacifist Jewish preacher supposedly executed by the Romans as a common criminal into some kind of divine heroic saviour figure that "conquered" the cross and death.
