As far as I know, according to the tradition, the Gospel of Matthew first written in Hebrew/Aramaic. Then it translated to Greek. But before it translated to Greek, the Gospel of Mark is written in Greek. The Hebrew/Aramaic of St. Matthew's Gospel manuscript is lost/not survive. So that's why the manuscript of Mark's Gospel is older than Matthew's Gospel (both in Greek). But, I alse have heard the information just like you share before

The esoteric truth is we are full of self condemnation, confusion, illusion, judgement of self and others. This is because we are as old as the stars and we carry the weight (burdens) of previous incarnations that haven't been burned away. The only way past this is to be truly awakened and with great intensity do your daily spiritual practices, which includes prayer, meditation, mantra, good deeds and so on. Without these things we just accumulate more of the same and draw similar experiences against us that we carry deep within.
