Hey all, thanks for all the support on this video! It's been incredible. Real quick, two corrections I want to make that I got wrong in this one: 1. Nea should have been paired with Nurse since they are in the same DLC. Oops 😅😅messed that one up! Honestly not sure how I did that 😅😅 2. I said Onryo's chapter was based on the book, it was actually based on the original Ringu movie, I got that flipped in my head and misspoke.

The version of Onryo in game is from the book. It was hinted at in the King and Paulie Esther video when Matt Cote mentioned twice that "book properties were eligible to be licensed chapters." You were correct to begin with. As a Nea main who regularly catches the Nurse's attention, nodders, hits on hook, and moris, I'm glad you acknowledged they are supposed to be paired.

Unironically, Yun-Jin would absolutely escape Trickster. She's knows how to take care of herself and make sure she survives, and she's definitely much smarter than Trickster is, as he only gets away with murder because of his status, and Yun-Jin had him more or less figured out despite it Trickster has only ever killed people he's taken by surprise and haven't been able to fight back, in a scenario where his potential victim is aware of him and can fight back I genuinely think he would struggle to actually kill them

That's a good point that Trickster has always had the element of surprise. He was about to get Yun-Jin, but she was also paralyzed at the time because he had taken them by surprise, a mistake she likely would not repeat.

15:20 I get you thinking Wesker may let Rebecca go because he has a picture of her in his office, but in RE1 in Chris' story, Wesker straight up shoots Rebecca after she and Chris figure out he's working for Umbrella. He legit would've killed her if Chris didn't save her and he actually DOES kill her in the non-canon ending where Chris doesn't save her.

Okay as much as I love Pinhead, remember the weakness to Cenobites is Magic. Mikaela is a witch. She has been known to do magic before she was taken and her perks are all witch based. So she would have the best chance out of all the survivors, minus maybe Vittorio, to survive the Pinhead.

To say it, the Sadako Rising chapter is based on the original Japanese movie, Ringu (1998), with some inspiration taken from the book, Ring (1991). Yôichi, in it of himself, proves it since, in the book, he's a girl. There's also stuff like Yôichi's lore mentioning both his parents and the book not having his mom as a main character, but you get the point. Big recommend on Ringu, by the way. It's really suspenseful and eerie, and makes for a pretty important watch in considering its starting the J-horror craze of the early 2000's.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had totally flipped that in my mind while filming for some reason. Yeah, definitely based on the original movie. I haven't seen it yet but I did see the original Grudge and liked it a lot more than the American version, so I'd suspect I'd feel the same about Ringu

@@Kh4jiiT I completely agree. I liked the first book a decent amount while the sequels drove me to madness. I thought the protagonist felt more like a person about to die than Reiko, and I thought Ryuji could have been a fun character if they didn't add the completely unneccesary and disgusting claims he makes. The films just had more likeable leads and a better theme with generational trauma instead of whatever the books were trying.

So I just got done writing the script for my next lore video on Haddie, and I would probably say she stands a better chance than I gave her credit for after reading it all closely. That said, it's tome Haddie who has fought monsters (who is different multiversal version of our playable Haddie) and the Observer makes comments that some of those stories are probably more legend than fact, so it's tough to say.

From what I can gather from fan theories and speculations, Dwight is the counterpart to Wraith. Hillbilly is the counterpart to Meg. The unnamed killer who came before Trapper and was sent to the Void by the Entity was the counterpart to Claudette. And Trapper is the counterpart to Jake.

The Wraith was retconned from tree wendigo monster on swamp realm to junkyard worker, hence his noises and wooden appearance. Bob would've been Dwight's, wraith would've been Claudette's.

Wellll Wesker kinda has the power of 8 nemesis’s combined Wesker could have killed chris,Sheva,Jill,and josh within 10 seconds litteraly Chris won because wesker was messing with him He has the ability to move extremely fast, dodge bullets at will and also has super human strength and agility. But in an all out battle with no restrictions, Albert Wesker couldn't take on two opponents or let alone 4 skilled agents in a wide battle ground like at the end of RE5. As you saw from the battle, they managed to pin him down and poison him. Chris and Jill didn't stand a chance in the Spencer Estate because of the small space to battle and it didn't take him much to charge dash at them and dodging incoming bullets at the same time and totally destroy and almost killing Chris Redfield. His weakness is the dark aswell, (his sunglasses don't help the cause). You could shoot him in the back in the dark because he can't see you but if the spotlights were still on, SOMEHOW he can dodge bullets without seeing them. Perhaps its a gameplay mechanics or perhaps it isn't either way, it was that technique that got Albert Wesker to go into serious mode

Few ramblings on several pairs x) 3:50 I believe in-game lore states that Quen was taken quite some time after the events of remake movie (when Nancy's mom is dead and Nancy isn't around for whatever reason). So by that point he's beaten Freddy in the "dream game" a lot of times already. And with DbD's Freddy being much weaker power-wise than his movie-self - it feels like Quentin has a huge chance of winning. Especially if requirement is to escape Freddy, rather than kill him. 4:19 Amanda and Tapp don't really interact in movies at all, but both have 1v1 fights (albeit with different characters). Tapp loses his fight because of opponent's hax (twice actually), while Amanda comes out victorious (even though barely and her opponent had broken leg). Based on this, I'd give an edge to Mandy - she is more agile, quite resilient and willing to fight dirty. Besides, she has a blade and Tapp has only his hands. 13:59 This is a tricky one, because survivor-Haddie we get to play as is not the same character as tome-Haddie. Haddie from Archives would absolutely obliterate Dredge into oblivion, as she does with many creatures in Tomes. Survivor-Haddie isn't quite there in terms of experience, but if her adventures were broadly the same as tome-Haddie's prior to Alps - I'd say she still has an upper hand in at least escaping Dredge, if not full-on defeating him. 14:05 I actually feel like if the goal for survivor is to escape and killer - to kill, then Ada might win this one, given Ada's huge experience in yeeting herself out of tough situations and her overall knowledge of how Wesker might think (their business partnership lasts many years after all, as iirc DbD's Ada is taken during RE4). In actual fight, though, Wong will stand zero chance against Wesker, especially w/o her devices - it took a whole active volcano and two RLs to get this guy after all lol. As for Rebecca - I feel like she'll get killed either way unless Wesker decides to make her his pet - but even then she won't necessarily escape. Especially if we take her RE0-self, when she doesn't have lots of battle experience. Granted, she knows how to handle a gun, but there aren't any guns in Entity's Realm, and even if there were - Wesker literally can dodge any projectiles easily.

Ahh thank you for that info on Quentin. I have not seen the movie so I was assuming that part of his lore overlapped with the movie itself. That makes sense. Thanks for correcting me. I rely on those of you who have seen the Saw films to fill in my gaps. Most of you seem to agree that Amanda would win. The Haddie one is tricky I agree, I honestly can't remember what I said (I know, it's been a bit and I'm behind on comments 😅). One tidbit I did pick up on researching for Haddie's lore video is that the Observer notes that the tome version of Haddie that fights the supernatural creatures is a version of Haddie that is legend, not historical. So that version probably never actually existed. But then there's the other tome version of Haddie who is older and fights against the Black Vale that very likely did exist in another universe. But the more I've learned about all versions of Haddie, I agree with you that she would stand a good chance of escaping it. I think you've described Wesker v Ada / Wesker v Rebecca very well. Again, can't remember what I said in the video, but after reflection I'd agree 100%. Ada escapes, Rebecca doesn't (aside from plot armor of course), but Ada could also not defeat Wesker one-on-one. Sorry it took so long to respond. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

One thing that should be noted is the different layouts of the entitys realm. Depending on where the 1v1 happens, there could be more or less hiding spots for the survivors. For legion vs Jeff, there are only 2 scenarios and no, the legion(2 of them at least) won't hesitate killing Jeff even if they were acquainted at one point. So that leaves us with 2 scenarios a 1v1 and a 4v1. If it were a 1v1, Jeff would win based on his build againts individual members of the legion. Sadly if it were a 4v1 yeah, my guy is ded af.

Technically speaking, Pyramid Head serves as a physical representation of the powers of Silent Hill enacting its punishment on James, so while Pyramid Head proper would never run into Cheryl, "Cheryl vs Pyramid Head" can also arguably be interpreted as "Cheryl vs Silent Hill in general" (which Cheryl still wins, because, well, SH3)

i'm a big quentin enjoyer and i'm extremely excited about him winning in the poll against freddy. i have some thoughts about it, so: quentin has dealt with freddy already alongside nancy. something a lot of people dislike about the remake is that nancy does very little, unlike her much more capable counterpart in the original. instead, quentin always takes action to help her and himself - he shares his medication with her even though that means he'll run out faster (and iirc he ends up under a lot of scrutiny from the pharmacy for running out so quickly), he steals adrenaline from the hospital, and he's constantly doing research in order to figure out what they're up against. when freddy returns in dbd lore, quentin immediately reverts back to that survival mode, staying awake for as long as humanly possible to prepare to fight freddy once again. he's an incredibly capable and active person and with his experience (and personal motivations) against freddy, i know he's definitely winning, even without plot armour (and even without my extreme bias)

In S1 Nancy is the only person who went to the upside down, faced Demogorgon and survived (well besides Will but he got captured and mindfucked by the hive) She's also more experienced than Steve about Demogorgon. yoichi wins, easily. not only does he have experience with sadako's curse, and researching the paranormal, sadako's curse is extremely easy to avoid. the ONLY thing you need to do to not die in 7 weeks time is to make a copy of the tape and give it to someone else. at that point it just becomes a moral dilemma. sadako can only really manifest in this way, as i understand it. the only way you die is by watching the tape and not following the "charm" to divert the curse. though, when sadako was alive, she DID have the power to use her psychic abilities to kill someone. yoichi just couldnt get on her bad side in that case. and also. time discrepancy, what with sadako dying several years before yoichi's supposed birth. we talking strictly dbd rules, though? you've all seen one pump willie. spam teleport and he's dead if he gets downed. the outcome would depend on a lot of things, so realistically, sadako as if she were alive and not just a curse on a tape? she can kill as she wishes! but as it stands, the curse is easy to divert. (though you all should definitely check out the original books it takes on more of a sci fi detective element than horror, there's a really well made audiobook on youtube it's what i've been doing to get my ringu fix)

I think Quentin has beat Freddy in DBD lore. The first line of Quentin's lore is 'When he heard that Nancy's mother had disappeared, Quentin Smith knew instantly that their success had been short-lived'. Nancy's mum being killed is the last scene of the movie, so that makes me think that the lore starts after the movie ends. You seem to know your stuff though, so maybe I'm wrong

Yoichi escaped Sadako because his mother helped him. Sadako is an Onryo she cannot be stopped she sweeps the survivor floor she might struggle with Ash, but the rest are deceased including Yoichi lol

It's hard to say only because we don't know the true extent of her powers outside of the movies context. In the first film Sadako doesn't do much. She's the consequence of failing to pass on the curse. In Ringu 2 though she does do a lot more without the curse being relevant, so being released from the well seems to allow her to roam freely in some regards.

With Vittorio and the knight, I had voted for the knight at the time. You can also see it quite well in the trailer, that he decides with short hesitation then but for the escape. However, I noticed that again afterwards. I think now would be a meeting once again more interesting between all 5en. The companions of the knight are obviously undead / ghosts. Vittorio, on the other hand, has survived in this world for more than 600 years (well, so have the knight and his people, but they're probably not quite as threatened as Vittorio) and during that time he got the tattoos that... are obviously very powerful. I am curious if this question will be taken up again in the Riftlore by the two.

Perhaps, but the Demogorgons don’t rely so heavily on the Mind Flayer in order to operate. It’s a vicious apex predator that can sneak up on its prey quite easily. Steve and Nancy would have the same chances that they had in s1 with the expense of their weapons. This isn’t a s4 Demo or a s4 Steve and Nancy, as they were taken after some s3 events. If they bring the dlc back, that would change the timeline, but for now, it’s s3 Steve and Nancy (and Demo). They’d still stand a great chance against it because they know how to deal with it. More so Steve with the physical fighting and Nancy with the planning

He was able to hold off someone attacking him with only defensive blocks until the dude tripped and fell on his own sword. I loved this video, man! I actually learned more about the survivors and killers in this video because I didn't know some things. I'm STILL torn on Ada vs. Wekser 😂😂 The plot would make her escape for sure (just like in all RE games when Wesker beats up Chris but Chris still survives haha)! I like Rebecca a lot (besides Jill, she's my favorite female character), and after playing RE0, she really can hold her own! You'll see if you play it (which I recommend even though it could definitely use a remake)! Wesker could kill her for sure, but her intelligence and medical know-how can help her survive some dangerous encounters. I always thought that photo of Rebecca in Wesker's desk was so random XD

@ARoberts pretty sure Capcom during one of their streams said it. I also heard the sane thing from a few of my friends, too. On top of that, Wesker, having a thing for Rebecca was never proven true, at least not that I know of. Their are still loads of theories as to why the picture was their tho. My best evidence is because Wesker manipulated Barry to do his bitting and threatened his family if he didn't do what he said. Barry strongly hats Wesker, just like Chris. So Barry plants the photo in his desk to make it look bad on his part. At the time of that picture, I'm pretty sure Rebecca was under 18 still in school. KEY WORDS (I'm Pretty Sure), not 100%, just like all the other theories. But from what I've heard, that seems to be the best one and makes Wesker seem like less of a pedophile.

To add on with Laurie, after Michael got up and grabbed Laurie she took off his mask, he dropped her to put the mask back on but then right after dr.lumis appeared and shot him 6 t i m e s. I guess she's upset about her father dying but it wasn't her fault so it can't be a cause for his judgment/execution. So he wouldn't hurt her because she's innocent.

Honestly for Cheryl vs Pyramid Head another thing to keep in mind is that he is a force of punishment. He goes after someone who feels an intense guilt that makes them feel they need to be punished. Another thing that you have to remember, this Wesker is STILL RE5 Wesker. As a veteran, Ada could slip away, but she would have to calculate well or die. Rebecca has no chance, Wesker would know how to take her out, I LOVE Rebecca, she's one of my favorite characters along with Wesker and Leon, but Wesker would kick her ass. She's a healer with a pistol, that's it...

Valid point. One of the reasons I’d say he’s in the top 3 most powerful. I agree with you 100% on Wesker, the more I think about it Ada would get out, but like you said she’d have to calculate well or she’d be done. Rebecca stands no chance, much as we love her.

I don't understand the ghost face voting. Because ghost face in DbD is described as planning ahead and coming really prepared. He should know all about Ash by the time he goes for the kill. And ash's perks don't really counter or help against ghosty. Pls explain someone

Ash is literally the chosen one, he's beaten Freddy and Jason together in the comics, you cant kill him canonically

Ash has literal plot armor in the Evil Dead movies. He's taken on hordes of evil before and defeated them, so a smart dude in a mask with a knife isn't going to be able to take him down. (Also, sorry this reply took so long, I've been behind on comments and doing my best to catch up 😅)

I play as Ash and do quite well. Prestige 13 now. Still quite low rank really but ive moved onto Jake now to get to prestige 3 for the perks. LIked!

I mainly get them to prestige 1 just to get the perks teachable because it's cheaper going up 2 bloodweb levels then going up 2 prestiges. But I just got my ash to prestige 14
