1. the Rani had 3 episodes including " Dimension in Time" 2. The Rani has appeared in Big Finish several times. Played brilliantly by Siobahn Redmond. In fact the first Rani audio "The Rani elite" was thought out by Kate O`Mara herself. When the character-rights finally went to Big Finish, O´Mara was to ill to record. So with her last will, she made Big Finish "swear" to produce more Rani storys, even sugested Siobahn Redmond as the next incarnation. When it became clear that Kate O´Mara wouldnt return to the role and passed shortly after, the chose to do a "off screen" regeneration.

It might not shock you to hear my opinion that I think perhaps that it wasn't Berkoff refusing to act but more so him being unable to. The guy is the poster child for the term "Talentless Hack". I saw him perform live once decades ago in a one man play called Shakespears Villains and he basically spent the run time of the performance prancing up and down the stage throwing his voice around like a malfunctioning tannoy speaker. It was a literal interpretation of a Scooby Doo cartoon moustach twiddling baddie with all the grace and charm of a pubic louse trying to swim in a pint of stale lager.

Sort of. When they filmed the scene, to keep it a secret, she said she was the Rani, not Missy. If the people watching filming had heard her say she was Missy, it would have got out.

I was the bearded corpse on the slab in The Power of Three. Berkoff was an arsehole to everyone, kept threatening to shut down the days shoot with an Equity union complaint and generally did not want to be there. Was a very very strained atmosphere and I'm glad he won't ever be returning.

Michael Sheen would be superb as The Doctor. That said, I think 15 should be played by Craig Ferguson. He's a lifelong fan; he was in a band with Peter Capaldi; he has the charm and wit to play The Doctor well; and he has the acting chops to convincingly flirt with Captain Jack.

They forgot to mention that Tom Baker and Michael Wisher played a prank on some kid when on the set of "Genesis of the Daleks." When Baker lured some kid interested in seeing the set of the Doctor Who series, the poor child caught a glimpse of the seemingly silent Wisher sitting in his Davros seat wearing a paper bag over his head. Until Wisher shook in a spastic frenzy frightening the kid off. Baker and Wisher had a good laugh.

Could another American playing The Master work? I'm far from suggesting the same about The Doctor as that'd be damn near sacrilegious, but even on a character level, I feel The Master sees themselves as more chaotic and thus less any one thing that Gallifrey may be? I'd be curious about what a Bruce Greenwood, Paul Giamatti, Jessie Plemons, or Edward Norton take on The Master could be like. Am I alone in this? Surely if taking on a role on a sci-fi show for a non-human character an actor will know that there will be long stretches of time in makeup. Granted it won't be pleasant and they may hit a wall of feel claustrophobic if its a complete face mask, but still that's what they signed up for.

Personally I think of the PS1 classic, MediEvil. He played the main antagonist Zarok in that game with such perfection. Buying the 2019 remaster for PS4, is worth it for his performance alone and to hear his voice one last time. That and the game is absolutely fantastic.

The implication is this list is all actors who don't wish to be on Doctor Who but who did it anyway. When you get to Callow and his concerns about the portrayal of Dickens, that raises an eyebrow. But using footage of O'Mara while explaining actors taking roles thought beneath them I died inside. No, it was simply her motivation to bugger off from America. It looks like she had a blast as the Rani and she chews the scenery within an inch of its life. Y'alls need an editor. I don't mean a video editor. I mean a script and paper cut editor.

Who’s narrating this? Possibly someone who doesn’t know the show terribly well. It also sounds like someone else wrote the script and she just read it without thinking about what she was reading. Since when do Daleks wear shirts? I’m pretty sure it was meant to be skirt - as in the skirt section of the lower half of the Dalek. Anyone who knew what a Dalek was would spot this error before saying it out loud. And why do we have to take Tom Baker’s word for it that Anthony Ainley was bald? It’s well reported by a wide number of people who worked with him and was ver obvious off-camera because it was a theatrical wig with very visible tape when up close. And the comment that the director had “no such luck” in convincing Ainley to lose the wig is also incorrect. They tried it Ainley’s way and, according to Peter Davidson, the result was that he looked like a cone-head. In the end JNT was deployed who said something along the lines of “I know you wear a wig. Everyone on set knows you wear a wig. Just take it off for the makeup. We can do it private if you like” and Ainley, reluctantly gave in. That story has been told by both JNT and Peter Davidson And why pronounce the word ‘wizened’ like that, unless you’ve never heard it before and are reading it for the first time? And the Kate O’Mara thing is less of a demand than a jokey remark when expressing her desire to work in the U.K. again. It’s not as if she said “I’ll only appear in Doctor Who again unless you make me film in a gravel pit” The John Kane story had nothing whatsoever to do with any demands. It’s not as if he demanded to be allowed to use method acting. He just turned up to the studio ‘in character’, as per method, but confused a guard. Anton Diffring was influenced to take the role based on it coinciding with Wimbledon. That’s not the same as him making a demand. The title of this video is misleading and it’s almost as flawed and poorly researched as a Watch Mojo video. Which is really saying something.
